Rome was our first city on our tour of Italy. We stayed at Dina Roma - found it on the internet. The pictures of the place look lovely with Italian antiques all over the place. However, I believe those pics were taken 20 or 30 years ago. The place is very, very dirty. Our room had red (yes, red) carpet and I am certain it had not been swept in months. The rooms say you have a private bath, but you have to go out of your room and down the hall to use it. Again, very dirty. Breakfast is included. It consists of 3 or 4 day old re-heated coffee and pre-packaged muffins. We choked it down once, but then we bought a box of granola bars for the rest of the stay.
The man who owns Dina Roma is very nice and tries to please, but he just doesn't know how to run this BandB. Dina Roma is also way to far from the city center to really enjoy Rome the way it should be.
