“A convenient accommodation in the outskirt of the Capital”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

Fairly basic and pretty far from central Rome, but the place has many plusses: the main building is located in a very pleasant park, parking could not be easier and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast is basic too, but adequate. Given the room rates, the combination is excellent value for money. A suggestion: if you are driving and want to visit central Rome, use your car to go to the underground parking of "Via del Muro Torto" (underneath Villa Borghese, 2€/hour). From there you can exit in "Piazza di Spagne", right in the hart of the big city and, from there, you can reach most of the main attractions through public transport.

Room Tip: Room 108 is our favourite!

“Bad Location”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

The room and service is alright but the location is really bad. We stayed 2 nights as part of the cosmos tours and there is no other guests except our tour group. On our last early morning, when we checkout, we met a group of policemen there from the South.

After we found out that we had to catch 2 buses and a tram to the city, we gave up on the idea and look for a restaurant nearby. The hotel only provide microwave dinner which is disappointing. The staff at the reception told us to turn left when we walked out of the hotel and and then turn left again at the next turn and then turn right. We were a bit unsure walking down the slope with all private houses and cars around. But true enough, there is a family restaurant in the middle of nowhere and it is about 10 mins walk from the hotel They were many families there.

Very inconvenience and bad location.

“Avoid if you want easy access to Rome city centre”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

Stayed here at the end of a coach tour and made the mistake of booking 2 extra nights here. The hotel itself is fine - comfy beds, good size rooms, bathroom ok (shower broke on friday night but was fixed on saturday morning), its a nice residential area.
To get to the centre of Rome you need to catch a bus, then a tram. It only costs 1 euro and we waited 15 minutes for the bus on a sunday. It took us 30 min to get to Piazza del Popolo.
We ended up catching a taxi back at the end of the day and it cost 14 euro. The next day the public transport was on strike so no buses!
The real problem is there is no food available at the hotel at night. they offer "microwave meals" and the closest restaurant is at least a 20 min walk away (down a BIG hill). We had the bad luck of being there on a Sunday night so had to walk even further and the only option was a steakhouse another 10 min down the road. It is a real pain after a full day of sightseeing in Rome. Needless to say the other nights we stayed in the city centre for our dinner!
We would not stay here again as it is just too inconvenient to travel to the city centre each day, better to stay closer and make it easy on yourself.

“Busy Road”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

This is a small Hotel on the outskirts of Rome. It is situated in Gardens off a very busy road. We stayed only 1 night before our trip home. We walked down the busy road to try and find a restaurant but everything was closed (Sunday) Fortunately we met other people from our tour who had been given instructions by the Hotel receptionist on how to find a restaurant that was open. We had to walk down another very busy road to find it. about 15 minutes walk (Nice meal though) Hotel meals were described by an American as T.V. Dinners. Average size room nice and clean and comfortable bed. Staff seemed pleasant.

“Good hotel but far from everything”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011

This is a pretty good hotel, in a really quiet and beautiful place in Rome. The negative aspect is that it's far from whatever you could think to visit in Rome; Ponte Milvio, the closest tourist attraction is more than 2 km away. Moreover the public transportation in the area is not good: there's only a small bus in front of the hotel entrance, with long delay to be expected. Inside the hotel is instead very clean and quite comfortable, especially if you are lucky and are not assigned the really too small room that happened to me. There was not either a chair to sit at the table and work, just the bed and the bathroom. Breakfast is not expensive but neither very good, in particular for not italian tourists.
