from this hotel all the major sights are within walking distance.hotel is very clean and the rooms are quite spacious,for what we paid we got a bargain for the location it was in was brilliant

A Little tucked away but a great spot to Stay. Very reasonable, small but clean rooms. A little old fashioned but a very central place for access to many of Romes sites. We were 10 to 15 minute walk to basilica and Spanish Steps. Very helpful staff on Reception. Stunning doors at entrance to accommodation.

A bit apprehensive having read reviews previously but have to say that for the money paid, this was a very clean and comfortable hotel in great location for Vatican and city centre attractions. Bed linen changed daily. Only 100 metres or so way from river. Only adverse comment would be towards lack of tea/coffee making facilities but we took travel kettle with us. Would have no hesitation in booking again.

Stayed there with my friend during easter.

POSITIVE was the excellent location, we reached all attraction easily per feed. many restaurants, shops and coffee-bars nearby. can recommend Bar/Pasticceria "Mizzica", Via Catanzaro 30, for unbelievable cheap (cappuccino 90 cent, giant croissant 80 cent) but very good breakfast, if you like it italien style (coffee e dolci).
Angel Hotel is easily reachable from airport with the SIT bus shuttle (8 euro pp inkl. luggage oneway, www.sitbusshuttle.it) in 40 minutes to Station "Piazza Cavour".
Angel Hotel offers good value for money, we paid 65 euros per night over easter!

NEGATIVE was that we where checked inn on a cold and rainy easter sunday in a room without hot water, working heater or TV!!!! I travel a lot, also in so called "third world countries", but never ever was given a room without hot water!!!
After complaining next morning (because reception is only engaged from 6 am. to 6 pm., which is not really a problem, you can get you key in the evenings easily from the sister hotel in the same street) incompetent holiday staff was unable to tell when hot water will be available again and tried to dispose me without offering an acceptable solution by them self, so i had to pile on the pressure on them to solve this unacceptable situation and so we where finally moved to the sister hotel "sant`angelo" in the same street.
from there upon we had a pleasant stay and a wonderful couple of days in vernal rome!

but don`t get me wrong, would recommend this hotel to everybody, if they have fixed their technical problems.
