“Nice quaint hotel in Rome”

We stayed here on our honeymoon and found it a nice, quaint hotel. The staff was very friendly and helped us find our way around the city by giving us highlighted maps of where to go. The breakfast was nice and simple. We had one exciting thing happen though, I think our room was haunted! The TV would turn on every night at midnight! But I think that is a friendly ghost. The rooftop bar a was nice place to relax and take in the views.

“Phenomenal staff who went way above and beyond the call of duty!”

We came across the Hosianum Palance when we popped in for a drink on our way to Trastevere. Roberto looked after us and made us (3 adults and three children) feel very much at home. We went off for dinner and while at at locat restaurant my bag was stolen by a hawker allowed into the Vincenzo Alla Lungaretta. The restaurant would do nothing for us so we headed back to the Hosianum. Alessandro on the desk allowed Daniele to show us the way to the Police station and Daniele stayed with us the whole time, translating the police report for us. We went back to the Hosianum to thank Alessandro, Roberto and Daniele properly and they assisted with cancelling credit cards and more importantly making us all smile. We had a beer together and raised a glass to the New Year which was only a short time away (thanks Alessandro!) I can honestly say I have never ever been shown such kindness by any hotel anywhere I've been in the world. I told Daniele that he was amazing and I meant it. These three 'dudes' have ensured that next time we stay in Rome we will only ever consider staying with them......I cannot praise all three of them highly enough. They restored my faith in people, and meeting them was the best thing that happened to me on holiday. Thanks so very very much!!!!! I'm indebted....truly x

“great location less than mediocre hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2010

This place is not a 4-star hotel. It's a 3 star hotel. the rooms are run down, it lacks a good restaurant and has no business center. It's also in an alley though the location overall is great. That 3-table cafeteria doesn't qualify as a restaurant. A factory cafeteria has better food and better tables chairs and wait staff. The hotel staff were friendly but are not hospitality experts. There is no concierge like I would expect in a 4-star and the bell hop doesn't even work half of the time. I don't care if it's raining hotel staff should help me into the taxi with my bags. Imagine. yes, rooms are teeny in Rome but this was pushing it. At least they were clean. I would recommend only if you are traveling solo on a budget and don't plan to spend any time in the hotel and are independent enough to not need hotel staff to help plan your tours or give you recommendations for any sites or hotspots and are short and slim enough not to fall out of the concrete hard bed.

“Wonderful location, excellent service”

I have just completed a 3 night trip to Rome with 2 friends we booked the Hosianum Palce through travel republic and the service was excellent.
At first we thought the first receptionist to be a little grumpy but within minutes he was chatting and advising us on all aspects of travel and sightseeing in Rome.
The hotel is not the easiest place to find but we used http://www.romeshuttlelimousine.com to collect us from the airport and they dropped us off at the door. incidently I must also recommend them, they arrived early and the airport and again at the hotel on our return trip and the drivers were charming.
After that we had no difficulty locating the hotel.
The overall location is excellent, within easy walking distance of most sites and restaurants. We used the bus to get to the Vatican this was a little confusing and we wished we had taken the time to walk there.
The hotel was clean and relatively comfortable, the beds are rather hard but this is found in many european hotels and none of us had any trouble sleeping.
Breakfast was plentiful, the food was constantly being topped up and we were very happy with the quality.

“Location, service and quality - Hosianum Palace has it all!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2010

We picked Hosanium Palace from the favourable reviews from TripAdvisor and were not dissapointed.

What was great:
- Location - right in the middle of all Rome attractions. Very easy walking distance and public transport.
- Room - spacious, clean and with a modern bathroom. Had all the little things that you expect from a four star hotel (i.e. shower cap, vanity set).
- Staff - so helpful and very accomodating in helping in whatever way they could. They also speak English quite well which helps when asking questions and directions.
- Breakfast - excellent. A good variety of both cold and hot choices.

What wasn't great:
- TV reception and manual control of the air-conditioning system at front desk - These two are so minor. The TV reception was not great but we really didn't spend much time watch television. The air conditioning system could only be turned on and off from the front desk. Again only a minor hassle.

Overall, highly recommend Hosanium Palace and would stay there again. A small tip - we booked online direct with the hotel and found this very easy and a more cost effective option.
