“Home in Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

The location, the staff, the room and feeling like a Roman make this place a great stay. Traveled from Denver with 2 kids and loved it. The neighborhood offered many options for all our need and staff made sure we made wise choices and offered superb advice. We walk all over Rome from our place just steps from Piazza Navona. Our room was quite, clean and well stocked. My 13 year old son woke up every morning and learned to make us espresso in our kitchen.

Room Tip: We saw a few rooms, all were great. Some we ideal for larger families.

“Beautiful Accomodation and excellent location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2011

My husband and I and our 2 adult children aged 21 and 24 stayed in the Michangelo Suite this past August. The suite has 2 separate modern bathrooms with showers, a kitchenette, a master bedroom with a large king size bed, and a separate area with 2 small beds. The kitchen area adjoins to a small living area that has a pull out couch and several chairs and a dining table. The kitchenette walks out to a beautiful terrace. The accomodations were wonderful and were perfect for a family with adult children or teens. The suite is located in a perfect location for sight seeing and is very quiet. We were all very pleased with the accomodation and highly recommend the facility.

“Great Location, great hospitality, perfect for families”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2011

We stayed in the Michelangelo suite that has 2 modern bathrooms and 1 king bed and 2 single beds with a pullout couch as well as a kitchen that is stocked at no charge. There is also a beautiful terrace that we used all the time. This is not a five star hotel but very clean and updated and great for a family of four. The fresh crossants delivered every morning at no charge were a real treat.. The personalized service was such a treat and we will definitely be going back here next time we are in Rome.

“Location, location, location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 August 2011

If you are looking for 5* anonymous luxury then please don't book this hotel. If, however, you want an excellent location, personal service and flexibility, then go right ahead. I can only agree with the other positive reviews that highlight the advantages of such a central location which enables you to visit all the sites on foot. The ability to return for a drink and a snooze in such a frenetic city as Rome should not be underestimated. There was also a Carrefour express within two minutes walk and, more significantly, Frigidarium (see best restaurants in Rome) was just as close

The provision of a small kitchen was a real bonus, particularly as we were travelling with children. There is adequate crockery and cutlery for light meals, they even have an espresso machine for guest's use as well as a kettle and fridge. Basic food is supplied for breakfast, and we made good use of the fridge to store drinks and provisions and Camelia went out of her way to ensure stocks were replenished - including chocolates on our pillow each night.

We booked the Bernini room which was large, nicely decorated and well-equipped. The air-conditioning was the quietest we have experienced and certainly didn't keep any of us awake! The room was sufficiently large to accommodate two adults and our two teenage children. It had a fridge, hairdryer and plenty of storage space as well as a table and chairs.

I must also mention the friendly staff, they all went out of their way to help us. From Linda's recipes to Camelia's housekeeping and Dennis' hospitality in showing us around his dental surgery (I should point out our daughter is training to be a dentist and was interested - this isn't normally an essential part of your stay!!) Traian also made the booking procedure easy and even phoned us the day before our arrival to ensure the suites were ready for our expected arrival time.

Finally, the only downside was the restaurant recommendations - the Library and Cybo. We found both to be over-priced with less than inspiring food and, therefore, not good value for money.

Overall, an excellent stay and thoroughly recommended.

“perfect for a family trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2011

We stayed in the Michelangelo suite during our trip in July. It was perfect for our family of five (3 older teens). It was a wonderful retreat after a long day of sightseeing. It was very warm (100 F) during our stay but our room was wonderfully cool !! We all had plenty of space and loved the terrace. Room was very neat and clean..Traian was there to meet us and gave us great advice on restaurants , taxis etc. The location is the best in Rome !!
