“terrible”

i went there for four days with my school this week and and first it seems like a nice place at first but as the week went on it soon turned into disaster.
The maids stole 20 euros off 3 people and 40 off of another! They never got their money back.
I was sharing a room with three friends and it was a two person room with 4 beds in it so it was really cramped. There was also no lock on the bathroom and no shower curtain so when you had a shower the water went everywhere all over the floor.
In the morning at about 7am there were bells that went on for about 15 minutes. and it was just terrible over all i wouldnt recommend this for anyone. :)

“Excellent base for school trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 June 2011

With its 90 second walk to Rome's Terminus station, the location could not have been better. Outdoor facilities sheltered and cool (in both senses of the word). Staff always ready to help and spoke good English. Good selection at breakfast, although the juice and coffee machines are in Italian. Good sound proofing as next to car park but couldn't tell from sound. Plenty of plug socket but some adaptors didn't fit the plugs. Bathroom faultless and clean with spacious shower.

Stayed as part of a school group but would go back even with family or smaller group.

“Dissappointing - even for a cheap hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 April 2011

I've stayed in plenty of cheap hotels in Italy, mainly in Rome and Florence, and this really was the worst I've ever stayed in. Shared a room with two others, and they squeezed the beds together to make three, it would have been bareable execpt we came in hot weather, and the air conditioning wasn't working, so the nights were horribly hot and sweaty. We had the window open for a breeze as the nights were still cool at this time of year, but the church bells went off every morning at 5am and they were literally 10 metres from the window... so annoying. Then someone had a bath (we couldnt have a shower cos there was no shower curtain..) and found out that the plug retractor thing didn't work, so we had a bath full of dirty water for a day and a half, that's how long it took for them to come and fix it. The breakfast was pretty average as well. It was also a very long walk into the centre of Rome, and yes its right next to the train station, but I came to Rome to visit Rome, not to leave it!!

“A very obvious destination for schools”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2010

I, like many others, stayed here on a school trip.

Although the room was decent enough, I found it too small for three people. It was obviously a two person room, with a cot added in at the last minute.

The breakfast had little varirty, and while tasty and edible, became rather tedious for a five day trip.

The hotels two shining glories were it's proximity to Termini (one of Rome's best shopping arcades) and the staff, who were friendly and spoke good english.

The only other issue I would raise is that while most of our party were allocated rooms on the ground floor, myself and my two room mates were alone on the floor above. However, this was minor inconveinience and did not detract too much of the enjoyment of our stay.

Overall, an average hotel but one of the better ones I have stayed in with my school, and average value for money.
