“this is the best place to make your life worse”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 March 2011

the worst hotel service i have ever received, is the 4 stars self proclaimed? i have done many travels, from the most posh treatments to the cheapest backpacking lodge. but this is the worst i have even seen. THE STAFFS ARE THE ONES RESPONSIBLE FOR SPOILING THE ENTIRE TRIP, we were poorly greeted when we checked in the hotel, as our flight arrived an hour earlier than check in time, i was rudely told that i was too early and to return later in the day. the old man concierge always reply me in the utmost disgust, and it is clearly shown in his facial expression and body language, he doesnt even look at me in the eye when we converse- it doesnt take a genius to realize this is just poor courtesy.

i strongly felt disrespected by the staffs- when i was filling up water from the breakfast table, the waitress yelled at me for emptying their jug of water, perhaps it is my inability to understand italian, but never have i been yelled by a waitress before.

the shower and bath had no partitions with the rest of the washroom, so u will definitely wet the whole toilet by the end of the shower.

the tv set in my room was faulty too, as it is not capable to receive satellite programs.

never would i want to visit this place again although the location was a good one.

“Only for students groups with no expectations of service and quality”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 February 2010

Were just arrived with my wife from 2 day trip to Rome. This hotel is recommended only for students groups, as all the other guests were young Italian students. They kept lot of noise while walking from room to room between friends until 1-2 am every night. Hotel reception service is available only until 10 pm and then no one was not keeping any order in the hotel. Receptionists are back on 7.30 am, and if you need to get out to for example to airport before that, outer door is closed in way that people cannot get in and out from the hotel. So, remember to agree in advance your check out when leaving at night time or early morning.

I am from Finland and remember also Italy and specially Mr Berlusconi about his talks of finnish food compared to italian. I would recommend him to visit this hotel on a breakfast time and re-think of his words. Me and wife haven't never seen and tasted this low level breakfast in any hotel everywhere else, no mather the stars of the place. So, don't count on you get free and tasteful breakfast included into price.

Some might say that location right next to termini is good. I would say yes and no. I don't anymore consider the trip from and to airport as important than location to sight seeings and shopping areas. Termini underground is always full of people and there is a long distance to walk in and out from underground to daylight. It would be more easier to just step out to street from your hotel and walk to sight seeings or to shopping streets than every morning go to termini underground station.

“The worst hotel ever!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 July 2009

We had to stay at Siracusa because our booked hotel closed down few days before our arrival. Our travel agency recommended it due to its location: right outside Termini Train Station. Very very poorly mantained, if at all. AC would not work at all times, smelly rooms, stained bedspreads, dust on the floors, broken toilet seats, no shower curtains, unconfortable beds and pillows...It is also an hourly hotel!
The only relief was the understanding staff who tried to do their best upon our complaints. It must be that they have no choice but to keep on earning their living under the terrible economic situation which has affected Europe, as we witnessed. We had been to Italy before but had never experienced such a disgusting hotel, nor anywhere else.

“Stay AWAY!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 May 2009

My review will start on the positive side first, the location is the best its right outside Termini Train Station. This is the only posivive sign.

The Room:
Before you walk into this hotel there is a sign that shows 4 stars, but when you walk into your room it looks more like 2 stars (and I am being genoerous). We opened the door of our room and you find the beds right there, no space to pass with your luggage. The bathroom has this huge tube with no shower curtain. Water spatters all over the place its messy.
My issue:
When you check in you must prepay. My father gave the front desk his credit card, and there was a problem on their part because the credit card machine line wasnt working. So they told us if we wanted to stay there we had to pay cash. Being that we didnt have anywhere else to sleep we were obiligated to give them the last euros we had on our last night in Italy. I explained this to her, I told her I didnt want to exchange any more money because we where traveling back home the other day. She said well you need to pay cash if you want to sleep here. I asked if we can try the credit card later on and she could give us our money back. She said yes. Two hours later the credit card machine was still down and I asked if she would call the credit card company and ask for a approval manually so that we would have our room paid for and we could have our cash back she said NO. Then we asked if we can pay in US Dollars (some countries let you) she said this is Europe and we use Euros here.(I wish I could expian the gestures she was making) then I told her she should learn how to treat a customer and learn when she should shut her mouth. Then she called me arrogant. SHe was lucky my father pulled me away from answering more.
