This hotel is terrible: we slept in a one person room, which was provided with cots to make it a four person room. The mould fell from the walls. the shower is not to be used: electrically unsafe! Breakfast only if you need to see an italian hospital.

We had originally booked one night after our cruise, just to relax and see the one sight we never go into our last visit to Rome. We were introduced to this hotel by front desk staff at the other hotel. We were moved into Hotel Lux because our room was not ready, though early. We were very pleased with the comfortable bed, spacious shower and beautifully decorated from lobby. We would stay again for a night or two. We were able to walk to the train the next day to get to the airport. We were able to walk easily to the historic sights from the hotel.
We were not looking for anything except a place to sleep close to the train. We got what we were looking for.
Front desk staff even got us a breakfast to go early in the morning. They were helpful with directions.

I stayed at the Hotel Lux as the leader of a group of students from the US. I have traveled to Europe many times, both on my own and with students, so I feel I know what to expect from a three star European hotel. This one was well below par. The shower was broken and grungy looking. The beds were acceptable but the sheets were quite rough. The breakfast was terrible: poor coffee, hard, stale bread, fruit that was past its prime...etc. Worst of all was the noise level. Each time a door opened and shut the walls would shake. When in the lobby, the sound echoed from above as it would in a busy indoor pool. Unlike other posters, I didn't mind the neighborhood. I am sure you can do better than this.

i didn't expect much from a 3 star european hotel, we were just concidered about if it's clean or not. Its location is important than the other stuff. And its 10 min. far from the city center and I can say it's clean. We stayed there 3 days. Everyday we found the room clean, bed was done, new soaps in the bathroom when we back to the room... Breakfast was also better than i imagined. There were cakes, turtas and fruit juice beside butter, jam, cheese or ham. Some staff were helpful and kind, some of them didn't . One night the receptionist has locked the hotels main door and was sleeping when we return to the hotel at 3 a.m. :) At last i can recommend it to the people who looks for basic standards and don't want to lose time at the hotel.
