“Absolute worst excuse for a hotel imaginable!”

Arrived 6-22-11 to this dingy unkempt building. the sole employee/manager attempted twice to steal my 19 year old son's passport. He refused to allow my son to keep a hotel room key stating "this is the way it is in Italy". Naturally my son was concerned regarding not only his safety but his possessions. When voicing his concerns, the idiot front desk person proceeded to ask my son if he had a lot of money in his backpack. My son wanted no part in staying at this hostel ( Not a Hotel ). He subsequently left. I immediately contacted the manager to cancel the 3 night stay and requested a refund. He was loud and very rude. Told me there were no cancellations or refunds and laughingly said there's nothing I can do because " We have your money ". After reading this review and the other reviews you would have to be out of your mind to even consider staying at this place no matter the price. Additionally, no AC or Internet. The hotel website description is totally false and fabricated. This facility should immediately be closed down. HOW DISCRACEFUL!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Avoid Hotel Harmony !

“Rude Aggressive Staff”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 April 2011

Arriving at this hotel, the clerk at the front desk requested payment upfront. I commented that this was unusual as I had been in Italy for 12 days and every hotel accepted payment at check out. The clerk proceeded to shout at us for 5 minutes that if we didn't want to pay up front that we could leave. When I asked why he was shouting, he insisted that he wasn't, that he was from Napoli and that this was his nature. Anyway, he escorted us to our room , and we ended up not having to pay up front.

The room seemed fine until we discovered a pin in the bed and then the toilet wouldn't flush. My friend complained to the clerk. He came to the room yelling and declaring that he is a practical man. He held the filthy brush side of the toilet brush in his bare hand and used the handle to push the items in the toilet down. Then he took that same handle in his hand and returned it to its holder. He didn't wash his hands and proceeded to touch the door handles to leave the room. Disgusting!

My friend asked to change rooms because the toilet still wouldn't flush. He started yelling at us that this was a two star hotel and that we were four star people. He said if we weren't happy we should just get out. I asked again why he was yelling. This was a simple problem, there was no need to get excited.

We ended up leaving. Even if this was a two star hotel, I don't think that asking for a toilet that flushes or a refuse free bed is asking too much. I also don't think any guest should be abused for making simple requests.

Also, this two star hotel cost 20 Euros more than the three star hotel to which we moved.

“awful”

i will totally agree with this guy's comment ==>

[i would like people to know that he did exacly same things to me.. he was polite at start and for some reason he become a beast shouting "its MY house, and if i want i kick u out".. to be honest the best thing of this hotel is the location, nothing BUT nothing else, so i would recommend u to try avoid this hotel.. exept if there is not other solution and u ARE alone, and not couple cuz rooms are aweful.. am 70 kilos and the room seemed so tiny that i could NOT move.. also he made me pay at check in, and not forget to mention that my girl was sitting out of hotel waiting me to pack my things while he started shouting to her and made her go inside and sit at "living room" i was ready to call police, but at the end i didnt just because i didnt want troubles at last time, and am not italian.. else i would go for lawsuit..]

****This hotel may be within walking distance to Termini but that's all it has in its favour. The manager started out nice enough but then went Jekyll for no reason and turned into a beast yelling that 'this is MY house and whatever I say goes". The rooms couldn't be smaller if they tried, the bathroom was mouldy and smelled awful, the shower is more like an upright coffin than anything else, the toilet wouldn't flush, there was no airconditioning and the one small fan didn't work, the internet didn't work and the bed squeaked like it would break if you rolled over (and I'm a small person). That's enough, wouldn't you say? I wouldn't go back if they offered me free accommodation. ****

“Good value for a 6 Nations break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2011

I travelled to Rome for the Italy v Scotland 6 Nations game in 2010, and stayed at the Hotel Harmony for 2 nights.
The Hotel was on the small and quirky side, off the beaten track, but only 2 blocks from a metro stop, and about 15 minutes walk from the Main Roma Termini Rail Station.
The Service at the Hotel was good, although I didn't have a lot of call to turn to them.
