“very nice hotel for a short stay in Rome”

After reading many good on Trip Advisor i decided to book 3 nights stay for 2 people in Hotel Piave.
It was easy to get to hotel from train station around 15min by walk. Our room was a bit small but for that price and in such a good localisation we couldn't complain. It looked exactly like in the pictures. Hotel seems to be new or refurbished not long time ago. Clean towels and bed linen. Nice fragrance of bath cosmetics. Breakfast was tasty, maybe selection was not big but the quality was good! Especially coffee or orange juice, better than in 4* hotels!
For those looking for low budget hotel this place is perfect and i can really recommend it!

“Comfortable and friendly”

Very nice interesting small hotel located on the 3rd floor of 100 years fantastic building with a fancy elevator. It has a great location close to all attractive places. The rooms are a little bit small, but very clean. Breakfast is a big plus. It definitely worths more than 2 stars. Price is reasonable.

“Tried hard but just didn't make it”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2011

The owner was really friendly and helpful. A lift was a bonus with the luggage. I felt a little claustrophobic in this hotel as the rooms were pretty small and there was nowhere else to sit and relax. The shower was a massage type hard but good. The breaky was pretty good, croisants, salami, fresh fruits, bread, coffee and chocolate. The downside was that the airconditioning was not adequate even after we asked for it to be turned down. We heard other people complaining as well. It was really hot in Rome so we really needed this. Also we ordered a private car to the hotel for our really early flight to crete as there was no other transport available at this time but it was never organised and we were lucky that we flagged down a passing taxi at 5am in the morning. We nearly missed our flight so this was disappointing. It was a fair way from the metro but the buses were

“Absolutely PERFECT hotel and location”

Beautiful old (newly and beautifully renovated) hotel for a 2 star budget hotel, the owners were absolutely wonderful and the inclusive breakfast was a great way to start the day. Great location, 2 minute walk to the bus stop (10 minute bus ride to all major attractions)and 10 minute walk (or couple minute / 5 Euro taxi ride) to Rome's main Termini Station (train, bus, taxi) where you can hop a fast train to many other Euopean destinations if you'd like.
I highly recommend this hotel and this experience! Debra from So. California

“Cosy Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2011

We stayed at Albergo Piave for 4 nights for a pleasure trip in Rome. Albergo Piave is located in a beautiful residential area, nearby many embassies. We appreciated the quietness of the area after spending all day sightseeing in the busy streets of Rome. .The hotel is small, no thrills, but has everything you need. Breakfast is simple but good. They make a great cappuccino!
The rooms at Albergo Piave are small but spectacularly clean, the beds are comfortable enough, and the bathrooms are very nice. The staff is helpful, although many of them speak little or no English, which can pose the occasional communication problem for the non-Italian speaker. It is important to remember that this is more of a bed and breakfast style hotel (breakfast is included in the price of the room). You will be given a key for the front gate (the hotel is on the 4th floor of an office/apartment building) and a key card for the hotel floor so that you can come and go as you please.
Overall, for someone coming to Rome to really see and explore the city, Hotel Albergo Piave is a reasonably-priced, clean, and comfortable place to do so.
