We were originally booked into the Madison Hotel which is directly opposite Roma Termini. Upon arrival, the front desk clerk advised that there was no room in this hotel and that they would transfer us to one of their sister hotels. I had a party of 4 and was thrilled to know that we would be put into a family suite with a mezzanine level.
The room was in a separate part of the hotel...away from the main entry way. It was large, quiet and provided everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was OK.
There were a couple of downsides to this hotel...2 of the beds were cots and were hard to sleep on, there is NO English Language Channels on the TV in this hotel (I normally like to watch CNN when I travel), the air conditioning was ok...but since it was on the mezzanine level, there was very little air in the main living section. We asked for an extra pillow and was told there were no extra pillows in the hotel.
Overall however...it was a quiet and comfortable stay and despite the little problems...I would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to encourage others to do so.
