It was a very cheap hotel. We paid about 300 euro for the room for 7 nights. Located in the center of the city. The Papal Basilica of Saint Peter, Coloseum and other interesting ancient ruins and monuments are max 5 km from the hotel. The Marghera street is very noisy even after midnight. Our room was quite clean. The litter in our room was cleaned everyday. There was only one bathroom with toilet and shower on the floor, often busy. The towels we got were grey. TV and fan didn't work. Receptionist came to fix them. We got another fan but we could watch only one channel in TV. While watching TV screen turned black and white. Wi-Fi didn't work. On one day I founded two dead cockroaches in the bathroom. The shower's doors were broken. The worst - we left some money in our travel bag (about 50 euro). They simply dissapeard after the cleanig bedroom... Shame! I don't recommend this hotel.

I read the reviews for Hotel Urbis and thought people who wrote them were thin skinned. I thought it did not sound so bad. After all, I am from a third world country and Americans are a little spoiled, right? Wrong! This hotel was the most horrible experience we had. First, the furniture's upholstery was ripped in many places; the "four-person" room we reserved was just a small room with two twin beds literally touching the sides of the queen bed, leaving no space to walk; the towels had been dried in the sun? making them as rough as 10 grit sandpaper; and the room was dirty. The worst? On the second night of our three-night stay the water heater broke, and no one was going to fix it for 5 days! We had to shower with freezing cold water for two nights. My teenage kids are still scarred by the experience.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go to this hotel. Pay a few bucks more. And heed Tripadvisor users' advice!

We booked this hotel through a website that included air fare and hotel. The slogan of the hotel is: "Hotel Urbis... your friendly hotel in Rome". Honestly, that´s a lie!. The recepcionists are always grumpy and they were actualy never attentive with us. The room was okay. The sheets were clean, but we did not have a bathroom inside our room, so... we had to walk a long hallway to shower (horrible).
The internet connection does not work at all and they do not offer Wi- Fi.
The location is actually the only good thing. Besides of what everyone said, the zone is really safe and nice. Termini Station is great!.
Do not go to this hotel. It is not worth it.

We arrived at the Hotel Urbis, to find that our room had been given to someone else, eventhough we saw our name on the book. So we were told we had to upgrade to another room and pay €20 extra per night. I questioned this with the receptionist as it wasn't my fault. His reply was ''What choice do you have?'', knowing fine well we had already paid in full via the website. We had to stump up.

The reception to the hotel was up some really decrepit stairs, or a really old narrow lift, which looked more like a chicken coup. The room its self had a really cheap naff bed, the walls were filthy, unsure if they had seen a lick of paint for years. The walls were paper thin so you could constantly hear your neighbour and their kids, dusty floors. We were also made to change rooms, to a smaller one, with no TV on the last night. The communal bathrooms was dirty, and on one occasion there were bird droppings all over.
I would strongly recommend you avoid this hotel.... Good location- rubbish hotel
