“Fantastic home base for a trip to Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2009

Massimo has a wonderful B & B located next to the Vatican Museum within walking distance to all of Romes attractions. He is a wonderful host. He arranged our transport from the airport at a great price and met us on the street when we arrived. He then showed us to our rooms and was ready with a map and a plethora of information about visting the sights in his city. He was so helpfull and wonderful to converse with. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. Thanks Massimo!

“Reluctant, then pleasantly surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2009

We spent our first week at a 5 star hotel in Sorrento and figured we could not return home without visiting Rome. Much to my wifes disagreement I decided I wanted to get a little more flavor on Italy by staying at a bead and breakfast. I booked this paticuar one solely on the reviews of the owner himself and I was anything but disappointed. Upon arrival it was a bit of a shock to our vacationing system after coming from a $400 euro a night accomadation into Massimos B&B. But as my wife reminded me (severaltime in the first 5 minutes) this was the place I picked. Regardless we got changed, clean up in the tidy and clean bathroom and bedroom (if for some reason you can not secure the room with private bath don't panic we never had a problem with the semi private bath) Anyways we got changed and ready to go see the sites, Massimo had us sit down at the kitchen table with him and he had us out siteseeing within half an hour with the insight and tips only an experienced local could give you and that begun our two day tour of rome that someone without Mr. Zolis insight could not pull off in a week. We even had time to enjoy some of the local shops and cafes as well. I will not write anything with regards to travel tips becuase your host will do better than I however dinner around the Pantheon can not be missed.
All in all if you are looking for a 5 star hotel, book it and pay for it! If you are truly looking for a bed and breakfast with a proper and knowledgable gentleman as a host book this.

“The best B&B in the world!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2009

We stayed at Massimo´s B&B for 4 nights, one week ago (may 2009). It was an excellent experience and staying at this B&B made our trip to Rome even more beautiful. The room was very very clean and confortable. The bathroom was also perfectly clean and tidy. Massimo is just the best host in the world: he makes you feel at home, he gives very useful advices, prepares a very good breakfast and is there for everything you need. He demonstrates that he really loves this job, and gives the best of him in every detail. The neighbourhood where the B&B is situated is very safe to walk at night. You can go walking to the Vatican and in a five-minute walk you can reach the metro station to go to the center (4 stops to Piazza Spagna, so it´s a very short trip). Massimo, thank you very much for everything!!

“Highly recommend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 April 2009

I fell sick the day we landed in Roma. Mossimo was such a great host, he took good care of me when my hubby went visiting the vatican. The rooms were very clean, so were the bathrooms. he gave good recommendations for food and closey travels.

Just loved this place. Mossimo made the place worth it. highly recommend it

“Great first time in Rome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2009

Me and my friends stayed in one of Mr. Zoli's apartment. The place was nice. It's simple but worth the price. There were five of us and we stayed in a 3-bedroom apartment. The place is 10min.walk to the metro station, 10-15min. walk to Vatican museum.

As soon as we got there, Mr. Zoli gave us a map of the city and some instructions on which places to go to, transportation options, and places to eat.

At the time he booked us, he didn't promise that he would be able to prepare breakfast for us since his B&Bs were supposed to be closed for the season. But for the 2 days that we were there he still prepared breakfast for us.

It was unfortunate that I lost my wallet on the last night that we were there but Mr. Zoli was very kind and helped me get an affidavit of loss for my residency card at the police station.

I highly recommend this B&B for the very nice experience we had staying in Mr. Zoli's apartment.

  • Liked — Simple, feels like you're in a typical Italian neighborhood; close to Vatican and metro
  • Disliked — nothing
