“Guaranteed Bang For You Buck!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 February 2011

The room was small, but I have nothing bad to say about my stay there. The location is extremely useful (close vicinity of the Spanish Steps and Trevi Foundation), the price was unbelievably inexpensive, and the room was extremely clean. Definitely suggest for any travelers who are in Rome to see the sights and not hang out in the hotel room.

“Perfect location, great value and super hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2010

This hotel is clean, friendly and in a fantastic location a stones throw away from the Spanish Steps and Trevi fountain and great access to the Metro line at Baberini. Just tucked up a quiet street off a main road, it was quiet, clean, lovely sized room and the towels and sheets were changed every day. Having gone in September it was still very hot in Rome so the added bonus for the room was you can control the air conditioning in your room with multiple settings depending on how hot (or cold!) you are. A fantastic hotel that is highly recommended.

“Would not reccomend”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2010

We stayed in many cities during our Italy vacation, and this hotel was by far the worst. We stayed in "average" hotels during our entire trip, and we have traveled in Europe before - so we didn't expect anything fabulous for those 3 stars. However, when we got to this hotel, the staff was not very helpful. They moved us to an "overflow" room which had no hot water. When we asked them to fix it, they said nothing was wrong. They finally moved us to the main hotel, and our room was not like the pictures - the tiniest by far of all of our rooms. Plus, there was a sewer smell in the bathroom the entire time. We were one of the lucky few who got stuck due to the volcano. We moved out of that hotel as quickly as we could and to much more reasonable place near the Vatican. Once we learned the metro, we were just a few stops from all the action - so it did not bother us staying a little further out. Overall, there are much better places to stay in Rome!

“Great Location - Average Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2010

I stayed here for 4 days in January 2010, left for a few days and then came back for a final night. The first four days were pretty decent. The room was clean and staff was wonderfully helpful. The bathroom was the nicest out of all hotels we stayed in - the shower and hot water were good. When we left, we had pre-arranged to leave our luggage for a few days. They told us they had a luggage room, but did not. They left our luggage out in the small lobby the entire time. Nothing was disturbed, but they should not have misled us to say they had a room to keep it in. When we arrived for our second stay, they did not have a room available inside and gave us a room in another building a block away. It was pretty far considering they ask you to leave your key every time you leave. The room was clean, but there was a bunch of broken stuff (lights, shower, etc). The shower was miserable. There was NO hot water and the shower head was broken so it sprayed all over the bathroom if you didn't hold it your hand the entire time. The only other thing to mention is the breakfast. It was ok, nothing special. Also, the room was very small, so you had to wait a lot for a table. I would recommend this as it was a good deal for what it was, but it is nothing fancy. Just don't waste your time if you can't get a room inside.

“Not as bad as it felt”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2010

To be honest, at the rime of stay, I felt as I was mislead. Now, when I think of it objectively, it was a good deal that we got. Since most of the people, who are reading reviews, look for bad things before the good ones I will begin with the negative ones.
I have to say, the whole experience was a bunch of "BUTS".
We didn't get to stay inside the actual hotel, BUT they put us in an apartment building nearby, which was nice and clean, the room was just rennovated, BUT the ceiling was leaking during rain and hot water in the shower lasted not more than 3-4 minutes. They had a great terrace on the top of hotel, where they served breakfast, BUT it only had 4 tables, and twice we had to wait outside while the table would free up. They had great coffee and a nice server in the buffet, BUT the breakfast was kind of poor. There are no "buts" about location - it can't be any better than this. REALLY close to Spanish steps, fountain Trevi, two of the major shopping streets. Plus the City tour bus had a stop nearby. All in all, this was a GREAT hotel for the VALUE, BUT (again) if they only put some more effort into accomodation details, it could make the hotel axcellent not only for the value.
