i've spent honeymooning backpacking around europe and spent a few nights in rome. we stayed at la fenice hotel and had a marvelous and amazing time. the location was amazing that we could only remember walking everywhere everyday..the nearest to the hotel in the trevi fountain and you'll find yourself lost in the wonderful alleys and end up at the spanish steps and so on..
its a great boutique hotel with warm staffs, good enough breakfast to keep is goin for atleast 2 hrs =). The room is rather small but we didnt have much to complain about as we were just traveling as a couple.

i would definitely come bck to this hotel the next time around! had the most wonderful time in ROME!i fell in love with the city!

We had a wonderful stay at The Hotel La Fenice in Rome. Small, but very nice hotel - just a few rooms. Very central, between the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The room was very nice and clean. The size of the room was ok, and the bathroom even had a bidet.
Nice roof terrace were the breakfast was served. It even had a hammock when we sat and enjoyed a glas of wine in the evening. The breakfast was ok, they had a very good cake. The service both in the breakfastroom and the reception was excellent - they were all very helpful. We like to have the window poen at night, and there was some traffical noice from the street - but that was as expected when we ordered a room in the center of Rome. I believe they have some rooms that are more quiet in the back.
We loved this hotel, and highly recommend it to people that are looking for a nice hotel with personal touch.

MS. CINTIA was the antithesis of customer service. My sister & I stayed there 6-8 MAY and upon check out confirmed our reservation for 14-15 MAY. When we arrived on SAT, MS. CINTIA had given our room away and the hotel was sold out. Fortunately, there was another hotel in their group up the street to which we were relocated. Ms Cintia never apologized. The folks at the other hotel--Trevi Collection--seemed put out that they had to accomodate us. Overall, not a pleasant experience.

We had booked this vacation in September 2010. When we arrived, the hotel clerk, told us because of some festivity in the city, the hotel was overbooked and we would have to be moved to another hotel for the evening. This was very disturbing and were not sure we had any other choice. Another couple arrived while we were waiting to discover our fate and they were told the same story. After they indicated their displeasure with the location of the new hotel, the hotel clerk reconsidered the move for both couples. Apparently, this was a tactic that TripAdvisor had warned about....Beware!

The hotel was adequate and centrally located. It was very clean and the breakfast was a plus.
