“Great hotel for low budget luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Hi,

I had a meeting in Rome 2 weeks ago, I've arrived with an evening flight to Rome and the next day I had my meeting and just after the meeting I had to have another good night sleep before my next flight.

So I had 1 day and 2 nights in Rome, i booked the Radisson Es because its next to the train station, not as close that I tought but about 5 minutes walk, so the location for me was more than perfect. for people that would like to accomodate at a hotel that is close to nightlife area its totally not a good hotel and approx. 10 Euro by taxi + 10 Euro back,.

But the Radisson is a great hotel - the service and also the SPA and the modern design - PERFECT!!! so its a very recomanded hotel except its location witch was perfect for my needs!

The location is very good if you want to stay close to the railway station, but the place itself is not nice at all , it is in Chinese area.It not safe to walk. Be care!It s not really 5 star Hotel… only 4. There was Coffee machine in my room. Great! Service is very good, staff friendly. This hotel is modern in design, but to the extreme. I like it.Free of charge internet, I have been in touch in case of problems. Opposite the hotel small supermarket SPAR( downstairs the terminal)

“Style over substance”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012 via mobile

My friends and I stayed at this hotel for new year. We were pretty impressed by the website, very shiny. In reality this hotel is in a worrisome location, is SOOO noisy (get a room on the internal side if you go) I was awake from 4am (noise like people in the room/construction).. take earplugs. And then we had to negotiate with the cleaner not to clean our room at 8am! She really wanted to!

The room was supposed to be a suite, it was just some small beds in a normal sized room. It was a little tired. Lights didn't work.. the minibar contents were incorrect.

The restaurant appeared to be on a different floor to the kitchen, so the lifts smelled of fried fish.

Sorry, but I wouldn't stay here again..

“Bad maintenance, low quality rooms”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

The reception and the lobby is nice, all the rest not really.

The shower is just behind the bed in the same room separated by curtain only (room 316).
Of course if usualy bath walls can be sanitized after each guest, this is not the case with the curtain.
Also the fact bath room is same with bed room causing it to be humid after the shower.
Holes in carton's walls, dirty curtains.

The maintanace of the rooms are very poor (see photos).

Request to change the room wasn't respected.

Additional word should be said about the "Fitness center", it is located next door to the whirlpool, very small and poorly ventilated with old equipment.
The humidity in the fitness room, because of common ventilation with the wirpool was extrimely high, and due to small size of the room also very hot.
Strong odor of chlor came from the whirlpool also didn't contributed for a good feeling in the fitness room, no drining water was found in the room, you needed to go to the room with the whirlpool for it.

Room Tip: Don't take rooms with shower, don't take room 316

“Romantic Weekend...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

No very impressed with the Hotel. My boyfriend booked it as romantic break away and he was very disappointed with Hotel for the Price he paid.

Reception were ok, Champagne he had pre ordered was not in the room so runied a surprise. The room was very modern, and when things were broken you could see they could not replace it fix it properly. The room was small and when we asked if we coudl upgrade were told 'no ask tomorrow'.

Breakfast was included however it wasn’t the best, we went down each morning at different times and they had run out of different things each day.

Location was good, we were only a 10 minute walk from the Coliseum and 5minutes from the train and bus station for an easy pick/drop off to the airport.

Some of the staff didn’t even have very good knowledge of the area and the main sights.

They did have BBC news and all the amenities in the room you could require.

I can’t complain, I had a lovely weekend. However my Boyfriend wasn’t so pleased!
