“My home in Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 March 2011

The most friendly and welcoming hotel I have ever stayed at. I have stayed there twice now, in 2007, and 2011. Alessandro and Bruno treat you as if you were a guest in their own home. I was there for our honeymoon and they left a bottle of great italian liquor and cookies, and when we went out to eat they called the restaurants to inform the owners and we received special treatment. The staff is great and always ready to answer any questions and even help teach some usable italian phrases. The location is amazing as well, walking distance to just about everything you'll want to see. I recommended this hotel to my cousin and he will be staying there for his honeymoon in June.

“A good base - well located and friendly”

This hotel is well located – safe area, within 30 mins walk of many sites like Coliseum / Spanish Steps / Pantheon etc. Easy bus ride to Vatican. 15 mins walk from the main train station, which is what you use to reach Rome from the airport. Extremely well kept and clean, decent décor, more so than most 3/4 star places I’ve stayed in. Staff are friendly and go the extra mile, they kept our bags after checkout so we could get a full day in. They even checked my flight time for me online. Breakfast included proper cappuccino. Free internet handy. I could hear the traffic a bit from my room in the morning, but I was pleased to be so central – so no big deal - especially for a long weekend. Mattress a bit firmer than most. Rome is beautiful, with this place you are right in it, but nicely away from the crowded tourist hotspots. I give it the thumbs up for price range.

When eating out, beware if prices are not shown. We picked a few simple dishes from a glass display that were reheated in the microwave. The bill was 50 euros! In another restaurant our waiter made it clear that although there was a 10% service charge on the bill (not cover charge), we needed to leave extra in order to tip him. Tourists are fare game. We landed on our feet in other places and ate well for a very fare price.

Rome is the perfect destination of you like culture, food, shopping, history and people watching. Loved our trip. Would go back to this hotel without a question.

“Wonderful stay at Bellesuites”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2011

We stayed here in December 2009/January 2010, and the whole team at the hotel were exceptional - Allessandro, Bruno - everyone. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. They made us feel so welcome, and made arrangements for trains, visits to museums, etc. We also recommended the hotel to other family members visiting Rome, and they also loved it. Loved this hotel.

Large room held 1 king and 2 twins with room between them. Bath room and shower were small but we managed. Service was always friendly and helpful. Breakfast and coffee were wonderful every morning. Great location for metro, walking or dining. Free internet was a plus. Thank you Bruno for the great Italian hospitality!
