GREAT LOCATION!! Close to Termini, but not in the bad part of town at all. I will say this; our room was the smallest of our whole trip. Like, the bathroom was nice, and then the main part of the room was pretty much just the double bed... I am glad we were there for just a night.

But it was like $100 a night for the dinkiest little room ever. That could have just been my fault booking it at the wrong place, and even still, it was one of the cheaper hotels I found that was in an acceptable location. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfectly acceptable place to lay their heads at night, but don’t expect to do much else in your room, unless it can be done on the bed of course ;)

We stayed in this hotel for four nights - it's a nice little place which I can really recommend. Our room was small but clean - it faced out onto Via Merulana which is quite noisy, but not all rooms do. Breakfast was unremarkable but what is to be expected given the price we paid. And there is a bar just around the corner that serves great espresso. Staff were friendly and let us use their luggage room after we had checked out on our last day.
But the best thing about this hotel is its location. Two minutes away from Santa Maria Maggiore, a few more to the Termini station, yet still in a nice neighbourhood. Most of the city's sites are within easy walking distance - a great place to be based during your stay in Rome. Superb value for money, would definitely come here again!

Despite leaving our booking rather late the hotel website offered a v competitive rate of 99euros per night B&B. On arrival the staff were v friendly and we were fortunate to be given one of the new rooms in the hotel's other section across the road. The room was spotless, aircon ok and we couldn't fault it. Plus it was quite a good size for a cheap city centre hotel. The location is good, just 5 mins walk from the Termini station and 20mins from the Forum. It's in a quiet side street next to the Basilica Santa Prassede which is just off the square in front of the Basilica Santa Maggiore.

Really can't fault the hotel at all. The only thing I could mention was that the breakfast room was v small and quite stuffy. But you don't really go for lengthy breakfasts when staying in Rome do you. We were lucky to have had no problems during our stay so couldn't comment on the responsiveness of the staff.

Recommended, will definitely stay there again.

I stayed at Hotel Santa Prassede for 3 nights in May, 2007. At first, I was a bit worried because the hotel website referred to itself as a "cheap" place to stay. However, it turned out what they meant was a good value for those of us who are price-conscious. The hotel is very conveniently located near the Termini station. I had trouble finding the hotel at first because the street signs in Rome are difficult to locate (if not non-existent at all). However, when I found the hotel, I realized the location couldn't be more convenient to travel to a number of interesting sites. The single-room where I stayed was VERY small and spare but clean and seemed to have been remodeled recently. The price of the rooms includes a breakfast (rolls, jam/nutella, coffee, juice), which turns out to be a good deal. This is a nice but basic budget hotel, which means staff are pleasant but has no-frills service. There is no elevator or a porter, so get ready to walk up those stairs and carry your own luggage! There is no lobby per se, either. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for those who are looking for a romantic get-away in a plush hotel or those who are planning to spend a lot of time inside the hotel. But then, it would be difficult to find such a place at this price range. I would recommend it to those who are looking for a clean, basic hotel that is conveniently located.
