“Top man Ruggero!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2012

This is our third trip to Rome. this time for the Rugby, with some friends too. Snow in Rome for the first time in 26 years! As ever Ruggero was most welcoming, we no what to expect, it is so like visiting an old friend. He is full of recommendations for places to visit & is always interested in where you have been. this trip he advised the Keyhole (you must ask him!)
The accomodation is ideally placed to visit Rome, & you feel that you have an apartment to yourself, but with the addition of a "local" information service.
We plan to visit again soon, & would only ever stay here & have recommended to many of our friends too.

“Wonderful stay! (2 couples, budget travelers)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

Wonderful stay! We (2 couples, budget travelers) spent 3 nights here in mid-October 2011. The website does a good job of describing the B&B and the benefits of its location, but cannot convey the enthusiasm of Ruggero. He will do everything possible to make your stay memorable. Visiting the Vatican was at the top of my list, which made this an ideal location, but I also enjoyed walking and shopping in the area, which felt like a neighborhood rather than a tourist area. Very convenient to metro and bus transportation. We enjoyed nearby restaurant Piacere Molise so much that we returned a second time. Gelateria Millennium was close to the B&B and popular with locals. This B&B fit our needs and our budget and I would definitely stay here again. A Ruggero e la famiglia, mille grazie!

Room Tip: Our room was on the street side and I did not notice any noise.

“Caring owners”

There is so much I could say-the other wonderful reviews have already said much of it...so I will ECHO the excellent reviews. It felt so good to pay Ruggero and his family directly instead of a large hotel chain.
The unique experience I had was on the middle day of our trip, I became ill with a 24 hour bug. (I was traveling only with my 12 year old son). I could barely move; I was so sick and dehydrated. At the time, only Ruggero's wife and mother-in-law were available--they do not speak english. Long story short- my son went to them and they took him to the store to get me something to drink. They checked on me several times and always communicated that they would do anything to help and that my son should come and get them if he needed anything. I woke up the next morning feeling much better and went sight seeing with my son. It was so great to know that if I needed help that they were there and more than happy to help.
Ruggero, was great (he checked up on me too)- we arrived at night and he gave me all the information that I needed to get up and out first thing in the morning--much better than my guide maps. As a matter of fact, I was a bit mad at myself for spending so much time researching Rome- I wish I had known that Ruggero could give me the scoop in 30 mins. Ruggero, arranged for my taxi and made sure everything went smoothly. He does many small things that add up to a lot...including making sure the espresso pot is ready to go in the morning.

“A Special Thanks/Wonderful Hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

Although I did not stay at AGV 2001, I still want to say a special thanks to Ruggero and his family. My daughter and 12 year old Grandson spent several nights at the B&B. Ruggero not only stayed in contact with my daughter, but also with me when he could not reach my daughter, who was touring Germany. He made sure they were picked up at the airport, helped them with directions to the various sights, but most importantly took care of my Grandson the day my daughter was sick in bed. Ruggero and his family made sure Jack had all his meals and they went shopping to get my daughter 7 Up, as that was the only thing she could keep down. My daughter told me that their room was clean and had everything they needed.
I would say that staying at AGV is more than just staying in a hotel, it is staying in a friend's home; and who would not want to do that whether in a large city or a small city.
Again, thank you Ruggero and family for the kindness you showed my family.

This was the perfect location to stay in Rome! We were just blocks away fro the vatican. Ruggero and his family were so hospitable and warm. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to see the best parts of Rome. Ruggero was so helpful in showing us the best way to get from point A to B. Delicious places to dine especially the Rusticella. Great experience overall and so happy we stayed here and will definitely stay here on our next trip!
