“Great room, awful breakfast service.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2009

Buenos Aires Hotel had a pretty good room and bathroom. Elevator took some time, so if you're on the first and second floors I recommend the stairs (unless of course you're carrying luggage).

But the hotel has no restaurant facilities. Breakfast was part of our tour package,so the hotel served it,but it was a terrible experience. The place was cramped, food was all cold (inlcuding the eggs), and if you weren't in the first batch, you would have to wait a good 20 minutes for the food to get refilled. Oh,and if you're a tea drinker? Forget it. They don't serve tea.

“Good location and good hotel”

On a 17 day Cosmo tour this was the last hotel we stayed in. Much better location than the Caravelle where we spent 2 nights at the start of tour. Although location was far from the city center, we were close to shops, restaurants and lots of activity. Our room was very good and was clean and had a nice bathroom and shower and tub. Some on our tour had to walk up narrow stairs to get to their room. Elevator stopped at 2nd floor, and they had 3rd floor. The continental breakfast was good, missed American coffee......I liked hotel and would recommend for location and price.

“Should be better ...”

My wife and I are travelling round Europe and looking mainly for reasonable / budget accomodation. Given Rome's reputation, we decided to trade up a little to ensure we got a decent / safe hotel.

Room was very very small and bed was a regular double (i.e. tiny) , but it sufficed, just ,and had a safe and a/c (which also just managed to do the job). Staff were friendly, spoke good english and tried to help, but some did not really have a great grasp of what to do. A simple buffet breakfast was also included. Area location is good (supermarket, botuique shops, restaurants etc) and bus stop very nearby with regular buses to the main areas / Termini station (which took 10 - 20 mins)

Hotel claimed it had wi-fi, but it was not working and was expensive, otherwise there is a single internet terminal (also not working). Rooms and decor (apart from main lobby) felt they needed a facelift and although we had a smoking room (had requested non-smoking), we did not expect the cleaner to be smoking in it whilst she cleaned!

All in all it was a dissapointing experience, at £50 pn, this was an 'upgrade' on our normal budget and even thought it was Rome in August, the hotel is in a suburb and so we really expected a little more overall professionalism ...

The hotel semed to have a steady trade from Cosmos (?) tours, which may explain their lack have having to really try ...

“Peace & quite in Rome”

Like your previous reveiw of this hotel , my wife & I were on a Cosmos tour and stayed two nights. We found the hotel very comfoertable and the rooms wre in a refurbished condition. As you know hotel rooms in Europe are prety small, this was no exception but the bonus was a good size shower where you could bend over to retreive the soap off the floor without stepping out of the shower. Our room had a LCD Television screen which was good for watching the World Cup at night. Dining room pretty pokey but breakfast was alright (for Italy).
Plenty of eating outlets and internet cafe 2 blocks away.
Would recommend, hope to return next year myself and will check out price.
