We stayed at this hotel for 1 night & found it very enjoyable. It was convenient to sites, shopping, trains, etc. A very comfortable room, old but clean & neat & great value for money compared to other Rome accomodation. Would definately stay there again!

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Gea for 3 nights during our stay in Rome.
The perks:
1. easy walk from the train station (15 mins)
2. good size room
3. good location (on a busy street, but cannot hear the noise from the room)
4. free breakfast buffet (enough to fill you until lunch)
5. laptop with free internet in the lobby
6. clean
7. prompt service-- when we were having issues with our TV and shower head, the man who was working at the front desk came and fixed them right away.

The issues:
1. The bed we had was clearly sagging on one side. Though it didn't cause us to lose sleep, it would have been good for the hotel to replace the bed as it was clearly sagging, even when we weren't on it.
2. The hair dryer in our room worked, but when I lifted it to turn it on, the cord detached from the base (easier to imagine when you know what their hair dryer looks like). Someone had clearly broken it prior to our arrival and tried to hide it.
3. The shower head in our bathroom was too heavy for the base. It was one of those shower heads that could be hand held, but in this case, it had to be hand held because the weight of it kept bending the holder over....

Overall, for the rate of 100 euros per night, it was a comfortable stay. Not sure if I would rush to stay here again, but did not feel like it was a waste... If you're looking for a basic hotel in Rome, this would be a good place. After all, you wont be spending much time in your hotel room!

This is a fantastic 3star hotel on one of the main streets in Rome. It's a ten minute walk to Termini, 2 mins to Piazza Republica, 10-15 mins to Trevi fountain and Spagna.

The accomodation was excellent: we had the mini suite on the mezanine floor close to the rear exit which was perfect for our needs. It was spacious, spotless (and kept that way), and the bathroom was great.

Breakfast is not a feast, but is above average by Roman standards.

Rome is not a cheap place to visit, but this is as close as you'll get to value for money.
