This is a shady hotel in an old building that is not marked from the street, hard to find, run-down and unprofessional. Our reservations were made months in advance through Expedia. After several attempts to locate the hotel (which no one who worked on the same block seemed to know about) we arrived there at 6pm to find that our rooms were not ready. Since there was no one else working at the hotel, the front desk attendant ran upstairs-literally- and cleaned and prepared the room, leaving us to cool our heals at the check in desk. While he was gone, someone (a guest??) came and rifled through the front desk looking for something--maybe his passport? He read through our passports and ruffled other papers on the desk until he found what he was looking for and returned to his room. Check in desk was labeled Hotel Invictus, but we had made reservations with Hotel Re. Hotel attendant was dressed in street clothes and it was difficult to tell if he was an employee. I had to ask him if he worked there. Elevator was a shabby wire cage and very small. Our room was on the 4th floor and only accessible through a door with avery large industrial-looking keyed lock which locked from OUTSIDE. I am not sure who had the key. Our room was prepaid and when we told the attendant that the hotel was unacceptable, he was happy for us to move to another hotel, but was not willing to refund our money. This hotel was supposed to be a 3-4 star hotel and was pricey at over $200 per night. False advertisement and a scam. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!
