“Recommend!”

Overall, I definately recommend this hotel! The location is perfectly situated within walking distance of many sights and a great place to crash after a long day of sightseeing.
The hotel staff was quite friendly and accomodating! Our flight from the US to Rome was delayed a day due to the volcano, so we couldnt keep our first night's reservation at Concordia (Concordia was the first hotel we planned to stay at). When we got there we explained what happened and they kindly didn't charge us for that first night. Even though the trip was several months ago, I still remember that the girl who helped us every morning at breakfast was so kind and helpful!
The room was clean (though dated). As other reviews already mentioned, the elevator is tiny...it's downright comical.
But I was really looking forward to the rooftop breakfasts, so I was disappointed that when we were there the breakfast was in the basement instead of the rooftop.

Dear Guest,
thanks for the comment and thanks for the fact that you remember us after so long.
I'm sorry that you have not had breakfast on the terrace at the time.
I remember that last year we had a short spring, it rained a lot
I hope to see you in June where the days are always sunny.

Thank you again

“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 February 2011

First I was in room 303 and it was tiny and there was the noisiest air conditiong I have ever heard. I changed to room 404 and that was a normal size room with big bathroom with window. The lift was tiny (only for one person max 250 kg), room only for a small person with small trolley. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a big bonus even it was very hot on July.

“Clean, Nice and Great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2011

The hotel was clean with very good cleaning service with fresh towels every day (not typical Europe). It was amazing location with tons of restaurants and shopping around with the Spanish Steps and Metro stop so close. The staff was polite and helpful. I was also impressed with the nice breakfast that is included and I didn't even come when the roof was open, it was the winter and still very nice.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for the good comment and I hope to see you again during the spring and summer time when the weather is nice and the breakfast is more enjoyable because of the city view.

“Perfectly located hotel with the kindest staff there is!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2011

I've spent 4 nights in this hotel while in Rome and can say only the best things about it!
It is perfectly located, just around the corner from the Spanish steps and a 3 minute walk from the Di Trevi fountain. It is also close to many others major sights (The Four Fountains, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon...) Because of it's central posittion it is perfect for city tours.

The staff inside the hotel are the best I have ever seen even though I've been to many bigger and more expensive hotels around the world. They are extremely polite and helpful and will do everything to make your stay memorable. Ask them for some sightseeing suggestions, they are well informed. I happened to be sick during one day and they helped us with everything we asked them without any hesitation.

Rooms are small, but not too small, the are just big enough. Also they have everything one can need and so does the bathroom. The only thing that can be added is the machine for boiling water and making tea/coffee. Rooms are pretty clean, too. A maid visits your room every day.

As far as the breakfast is concerned, there is not too much to choose from but one cannot stay hungry, that's for sure. The balcony at the top of the hotel (where breakfast is served during the summer) has a beautiful view on to the Vatican and St. Peter's Church.

Anyway, I had a wonderful time in Rome and this hotel has something to do with it for sure. I would definitely stay here again!

“Hotel needs a major refurbish!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2010

I usually rely on choosing hotels based on previous reviews. My girlfriend and I were very disappointed. This is our first major disappointment with Expedia. First impressions count greatly and this hotel is very worn down. In the front lobby, worn and stained carpeting and large sloppy couches. Elevator could fit 1 small person and maybe 1 piece of luggage. The circular stairs, again had worn stained carpeting. The rooms, the smallest I've seen. Dust balls, non functioning lights, the walls so thin that we could hear people up above us at night and in the morning. The toilet wouldn't flush for no reason at all. Breakfast area down very steep stairs in the basement. A couple of nice things to say is that the staff tried hard to fix problems, such as toilet etc. and the breakfast that was served was good and great proximity to the spanish steps and the trevi fountain. If this hotel were spruced up a bit, rip out the carpeting and the old couches and a bit of sound proofing, it would go a long way.

Dear Guest,
We are sorry to hear that his impression of our facility has been so negative. We believe that some things shown to you as "unpleasant" and "unexpected" are perceived differently from other customers that through this same means have termed a positive feature of the structure. As you read our reviews probably did not was able to meet those other people who have stayed with us and define our small but comfortable rooms, who report that the elevator is small.

We are sorry that you found some problems, but these are difficulties that are part of the hotel that is open 365 days a year is having to deal with.

Thank you for your review
