“Perfect Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 February 2011

The hotel is located near to Colesseo and the view on the street was perfect. We stayed for 9nights and we enjoyed the hotel because we are in the middle of everything and we sleep well that it was quiet at nights. You can go everywhere from Via buy bus or by walk. But the walls are thin, no fan in bathroom (they put an airfreshener), lots of receptionists who are working different days (3-4 are welcoming). Breakfast was well and you can access internet on the entrance hall.

“nice hotel with sight on colloseum”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2010

A very nice small hotel with helpfull receptionists. we stayed in a room-3 pers wich was very small but you only sleep there. Mmaybe that other rooms are bigger and with view, we had a little window that looked out on a little patio that was used as a store-room. The bathroom was also very small. Our room was halfway below the celler, next to the breakfest room, wich was also small en some times you have to wait for a table. The braekfest was ok, but come early then everything (bread ed) is enough there
Is almost in the middle of old Rome en there are enough nice restaurant near and that is what make this hotel good. One could use a computer by the reception for free

“Outrageous treatment”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2010

The worst treatment I ever had in a hotel. I had to leave one day before because of a flight cancellation (strike). They rejected to refund the extra night but arranged all my luggage themselves, put it at the reception and rented the room to somebody else (i.e. two different clients for a single room; great (illegal) deal but awful behaviour). The bathroom smells bad.

“good location, ideal for family groups”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2010

I travelled with husband and 3 children. Room was on 1st floor overlooking street. Has double glazing and airconditioning so noise was not an issue. We were given a room with a double bed and three singles. It was comfortable. Bus stop across the street and very near to metro station and San Pietro in Vincole Church. Good Gelateria across the street and a Salumeria with an excellent choice of cheeses and italian meats just a few doors down the road - which also sells fresh bread daily. Breakfast was OK if you like sweet things.

On arrival the receptionist took time to give us info about hotel surroundings and how best to reach the attractions as well as information about buses and restaurant and shopping.

“basic stuff with great location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2010

I spotted this hotel as "last minute choice" with tripple room in August. We arrived late in the evening having first been ripped off by a taxidriver from Termini to Hotel Anfiteatro. How ever the reception was very nice and we went to our room. The room was very small even by normal standards in Rome- yet very clean.
The bathroom and windows were newly renovated. Still the hand set of the shower was broken and taking a shower was a real trick. Due to new windows there was absolutely no street noise in the room. The room also had an air conditioning that was very nice considering the daytime temperature was some 29° during our stay.

The breakfast was continental with white bread and jelly, so very basic. The coffee is italian style and yes, the old lady is still making it. To us she was pretty nice.

So, if you are travellling with tight budget this hotel is a good choice. We stayed in the room called "Severo". There are no room numbers. Every room has a name. Had the room been more spacious (and the TV working. It had only green picture:), we would have given more points considering the pricetag. Actually -to my opinion- you have to cut off one star when you rate hotels in Rome. I wonder who rates them anyway?
