“Martina House - Amazing! Go there!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

A fantastic place to stay when visiting Rome. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Martina's service was amazing - she went out of her way to help us. The rooms were both clean and tidy with everything we could possible need. The amazing decor of this B&B is fabulous - so much better than staying in a large, corporate, unfriendly hotel. My only negative point was that the breakfast was a little lacking in choice, it was fine for me and my husband, but our Veggie friend found bread and jam and cake the only option. I'm sure if we had mentioned it to Martina in the beginning she would have had more choice, but to be honest we were not that bothered as eating out was at the top of our priority list!

Amazing B&B with amazing service and in a good location where you can walk to all the normal sights.

Room Tip: A fantastic place to stay when visiting Rome. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Martina's...

“A wonderful trip to Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

We were 3 couples that hired 3 rooms in this 4-rooms apartment. Although we arrived very late at night, well past midnight, Martina's brother was waiting for us. The apartment was very charming, with beautiful painted doors and furnished with nice old furniture. The small kitchen and dining room were very practical as the place where we could meet, sit and plan our stay in Rome. Every morning Martina came and served a simple but adequate breakfast and answered all the questions we had. She was very friendly and very helpful and had very good suggestions for our sightseeing and spoke very good English. The location of Martina House is perfect, walking distance from everything and we did not use the public transportation once.
If I ever go back to Rome (which I would love to do), I shall stay at this place again. I can warmly recommend it to everyone.

“Ideal location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

This quaint B & B is in a great location for exploring the city and is within walking distance of many of the sights.
The nearby Borghese Gardens are a lovely place to escape the hustle and bustle.
Martina was very welcoming even though we arrived later than expected, the airport pickup was excellent.
We did find that the breakfast a little disappointing in both quantity and quality,no fresh fruit juice or fresh fruit.

Room Tip: Room 1 is quite small with a large ensuite, but overlooks a courtyard so no traffic noise.

We thank you very much for appreciating our comfortable, clean, quiet and peaceful structure. Actually is situated in the heart of Rome: is convenient for public transport, tour bus stops and shops, there are a lots of reasonably priced (and very good) eating places. We are happy to have met your expectations! Hope to see you again!

“Martina Piazza Del Popolo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

Five of us stayed at the Martina Piazza Del Popolo apartment. For a group our size an apartment was perfect. We had a very nice apartment right on Via Flamino at the Flamino Station, right across the street was the Piazza Del Popolo. We could walk to all the sights and our apartment was in a nice neighborhood. Directly across the street from our apartment was the best little pizza joint. The place was always full with the locals. The pizza was incrediable. For the tour companies it was very easy to drop us off after the tour because it was always on the way back to their office. Because it was an apartment we were able to eat some meals in. Elena was our contact, she mets us at the apartment when we arrived. She took us up and showed us around. We had her number in case we needed anything, which we did not and she arranged for our transfer back to the airport with the driver who picked us up.

My only negative comment would be that if you are not used to hearing city traffic and city noise, bring ear plugs because it is in the heart of the city and can be noisy. We all got used to it. I really loved the location.

Thank you very much for your very positive opinions! Martina a Piazza del Popolo is an apartament really located in a strategic area, you can reach walking all the major attractions of the old city of Rome. Plus: the metro station in a short walk allows you to quickly and easily get farer areas and it is a relief to come back home with public transport after a busy day out to see the beauties of Rome! thanks! hope to see you soon!

“Nice Guest House”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

We stayed for 5 nights at Martina House (Via Lazio). It's a good old-fashioned B&B with spacious room and good bathroom, bed was ok, good AC, efficient coffee. Near the Villa Borghese, there's a lots of great restaurants, metro and things to do! Martina helps with infos and things to do in Rome. Great place for who wants to meet the city and take a rest by night. We loved Rome!
