“3-star standard, no more no less”

You can exclude the terrible and excellent reviews. You get what you pay for. Family run, not overly friendly or serviceminded. The woman had even a hard time to say bon giorno. Got a very good price for 5 nights through hotels.com though. Not a hotel to go back to, but good for a night or two if you get a good price.
Don´t gorget to flush the bidé every day. else it will smell from the sewer. The chambermaid doesn´t bother with it.

“Shipped here from Milani, much better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

Upon arrival at the Hotel Milani across the street, we were sent over to Hotel Giorgi instead. We were a little weirded out at first, but apparently they're owned by the same people so we were ok with that. To be honest, the Giorgi was so much better than the Milani, which we had stayed at earlier in our stay. Everything was very basic, plus we had a room with a balcony. They layout was a little weird, having to take two elevators (one ancient one that was incredibly rickety and nothing more than a cage with a wooden box, with all of the controls on a wood block nailed to the wall) to get to our room. Be careful, though, because if someone on another floor doesn't close the elevator door, you'll be stuck walking. Breakfast was meager at best, but the man that worked the desk was very nice. The location was great, right around the corner from Termini station and walking distance to everything else, so we'd likely book there again, providing we could be guaranteed not to be sent to the Milani.

“Worst hotel I stayed while in Italy”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

I don't know what hotel the bedroom photos are from on this website, but they look nothing like the room I stayed in at this hotel! I was in a single, Room 306. Avoid this room!! Smallest room I've ever stayed in. No outlets for converter. Floor is vinyl tiles circa 1965. The room was constantly hot and I never slept with covers. The one bright spot was that the bath was reasonably clean. The front desk staff is rude. I had to pick up tickets to a papal audience at a local church by 8:15 one morning so I left a 7 a.m. wake-up call. It never came. I woke up at 8:13 and missed getting my ticket. Thank goodness the Swiss guards at the Vatican took pity on me and let me in anyway. Somebody else posted that the WiFi is free. Um, no it's not. It's not expensive but it's not free. While close to Termini, it's not close to anything else. I would never stay here again.

“A decent little economy hotel in a convenient location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2011

Let me stress this is a budget hotel. We went into it expecting this. The room was clean. The front desk clerk was very friendly (but the clerk spoke quickly and his english was marginal so at times was a bit of a challenge to understand). The room was small but this is typical of Rome. If you want air conditioning you have to call the front desk to get it turned on which is a bit unusual but no problem if you are aware of it. The shower stall was the smallest I'd seen so wouldn't recommend for someone of wide carriage. Overall, the room was what we expected from a budget hotel and the customer service was outstanding.
