“Incredible experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Perfect! The location was ideal. The service warm and inviting. The concierge service incredible! Beautiful, clean and very comfortable rooms on a quiet street but just a short walk to the maginificent sites of Rome. We were greeted immediately by Elyssa and Franco and recieved accurate and knowlegeable touring advice. As runners, we were wowed by the proximity to Borghese Gardens. We can't wait to return! Thank you for a fabulous visit!

“great location, even better concierge service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

Besides being in a central Rome location (under 15 minutes walk to Trevi Fountain, Villa Borghese, Spanish steps, Triton Fountain), the Daphne Inn Veneto has the distinction of being your personal concierge service. The staff (especially Alyssa) are extremely knowledgeable, offering excellent suggestions and tips on restaurants and transportation. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We stayed on the first floor, which is convenient if you have large suitcases, because the elevator is teeny tiny! However, you will hear more street noise and the trash bin is just outside of the small open area to our room (102). There's also a bakery nearby that woke me up with their delicious scent of bread early in the morning. It was a wonderful, albeit early wake-up call. The breakfast is simple, continental. (But no offer of that wonderful-smelling bread.) Our room had a bathtub/shower, excellent water pressure and temperature. There were a couple of mosquitoes in our room. But overall, it's a worthwhile place to stay if you're seeking a central location and helpful, friendly staff.

Room Tip: First floor room is convenient if you have large suitcases but avoid if you are a light sleeper.

“Excellent location and service; scrumptious breakfast”

We stayed at Daphne Veneto for six nights and were highly satisfied with the experience. Daphne is not a traditional hotel - there is no lobby and reception is a small room on the ground floor - but we found that this added to its charm and made the experience more personal. The third-floor room was modern and well equipped, the bed was comfortable, and the daily maid service was very good. The location is excellent and within reasonable walking distance to all attractions - we did not have to use public transportation even once during our stay. The back-facing rooms are quiet and little street noise is heard. The only sounds heard are those of other guests in the hallway and that was not really an issue. The staff were exceptional - cordial and helpful to no end. They were surprisingly helpful before the trip, providing information, answering questions, and making reservations. It was only thanks to them that we were able to visit the Galleria Borghese, as we did not know that advanced reservations are a must! The breakfast was excellent - a nice selection of fruit, bread, and cheese, as well as made-to-order cappuccinos. Overall, a good value given the location. We would definitely stay again!

Room Tip: Back-facing rooms are excellent. Fourth-floor rooms are next to the kitchen and breakfast area, so...

What a wonderful place. Conveniently located to many of the important sites. The staff is great and eager to help its guests with ideas, directions, booking tours. I would highly recommend the Daphne to anyone.
You will not be disappointed.
Breakfast isn't bad either.

“Fantastic time in Rome!”

For my 50th birthday, my husband and I spent a week in Rome before heading off for a cruise. The Daphne had been recommended to us by friends. Prior to our trip we had many email correspondences with the staff of the Daphne assisting us in our plans for making the most of our time in Rome. We had a fantastic trip and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Rome. The staff are incredible! They helped us to get train tickets to Florence and to the cruise port, reservations to galleries and fantastic restaurants and recommendations for fantastic gelato and coffee. Special thanks to Franco and Claudio. We will return to the Daphne on our next trip to Rome!

Room Tip: We spent 8 nights in room 303. It had everything we needed - refrigerator, safe, comfortable bed...
