We stayed in a twin room with en-suite bathroom in October 2006. The place was terrible. The room was tiny, there were hardly any blankets on the bed, so we got terribly cold at night. The bathroom stank, and everything was run-down and shabby.
If you want my advice - stay away!!!

Most rooms in the hotel have 'broken' bathrooms thus the occupants are required to walk past reception everytime they want to go to the one working bathroom in the hotel. The 2m by 2m room also doubles as a shower. Try walking past people booking in in a towel - its fun. The price of our room was negotiated by the receptionist scoring off sample prices with the room keys into the paint on the walls of our room. Everyday the loud owners woke us up before nine and as a leaving gift someone with keys to the room stole my shaver. If you are going to Rome stay some where else.

We booked into this hostel for two nights along with our daughter, and were expecting our own bathroom. There was in fact only one room containing three very dirty, slimy, dark showers. The toilets infrequently flushed, toilet paper run out every evening, and there was no soap provided. The only single shower was out of order, as was the telephone. The kitchen resembled a bomb site. In fact the only thing that worked efficiently in this whole establishment was the cash register. The noise from the street was horrendous and the place dirty. We would not put our family dog in this place and certainly would not recommend this as a place to stay for anyone.

We booked this hostel about 2 months ago. We were expecting a room with four beds and ensuite. We arrived and were shown a room with a bunk bed and two single beds.there was a cupboard but a bed was blocking it and there was a stool,but no ensuite.The place was dark and gloomy the kitchen was dirty (I had a good look) and there was a terrible smell coming from somewhere. We complained and the receptionist shrugged and admitted they were overbooked.At my insistance she made a phone call to someone and absolutely refused to speak to this person in Italian or English even though she admitted that she spoke both languages.We couldn't have stayed there for even one night.Hostel beautiful needs to consider changing it's name.
