“Fantasticoooo Location!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2011

Me and my friend in our Mid Twenty's stayed here for 3 nights in February. After reading the reviews i was abit scared to say the lease.

On arrival into the termini station we asked someone for direction and was glad to find it was like a 2 minute walk! Fantastic! We could not check in until 1pm so grabbed a drink at a nearby cafe.

When we checked in the receptionist was lovely and friendly, we got to know her well and she looked after us and was very helpful! Her name was Elizabeta. When we checked in we got room 211. So 2nd floor. The lift smelt so bad i was nearly sick, my friend was laughing so much she fell up the stairs! We opted for the stairs.

The room on approach was abit of an eye opening but it smelt clean and we had 3 beds so we put all our clothes on the third bed! The bathroom was abit old but it was clean and the only downer on any of the room was the bad light, it was aweful and there wasnt a mirror only in the bathroom, me and my friend found it hard having to share it all the time! The carpet needed abit of a clean, when we would use the shower i was having to put my shoes on, scared of what we would pick up on our feet!! We had some lovely meals at restaurants near the hotel and went to some lovely bars! The main reason for hotel was location, ive stayed in worse. It did exactly what it said on the tin and after paying £39 for 3 nights was not really bothered! Just get a good light and an extra mirror and it would of done the job for two ladys! We did meet the fat cleaner on the last day. She was lovely ( not ) !! We were laughing at her so much i think we scared her away! She chucked us out of reception as she was cleaning and she said we was in the way, we wasnt think she just didnt like us as we stood upto her and we were english - very loud and giggling ha ha!! Made me laugh at least! If you want a hotel near to everything and nice restaurants and bars nearby then this is the hotel for you! If you want luxury then dont!

“Avoid the fat cleaning lady”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2010

The hotel has polite and helpful front desk staff but the FAT cleaning lady is VERY RUDE. She needs to attend training in politeness. She should not be working where there are tourist, it makes bad impression on the place itself.

“You get what you paid for”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2010

I have stayed at many hotels throughout Europe and this one was average. It seems to have improved since last year (judging from previous reviews). The room was small, we had two twin beds put together to make a queen size bed, and a third twin bed on the side, which was great to lay out clothes and not have them crammed in my suitcase. There were no tv, radio, nor phone, but all that was a plus for me and my husband as we had time to talk to each other and enjoy each other's company. We were in the room only to rest and sleep, which became hard to do once teenage groups came to stay. It sounded like they were throwing each other against the walls! Running in hallways, screaming, and slamming doors. I tried to be patient considering it might be the first time they were ever out of their homes, but I did mention it to the front desk. They said they would talk to the teachers. I never travel without my earplugs, which helped a great deal. The noise level seems to be an issue throughout Europe, at least for me, so I knew what to expect. Also, I figured if we were getting a low cost hotel, we had to expect things like this.
The cleanliness of the room was acceptable, we got clean towels everyday and when we asked for more, the only person at the front desk gave us the keys to the storage, so we could also get toilet paper. We also had plenty of blankets and pillows, and the drapes in the window were nice. The window was also new. There were two mirrors, one in the bathroom and the other outside the bathroom. We had 4 electrical outlets, and plenty of lights. The bathroom was small, with the toilet paper dispenser directly under the shower!! hahahaha Somehow the paper stayed dry! At least there was a shower curtain and hot water with a nice pressure, unlike other Rome hotels I've stayed at! The bathroom was clean, in good working order. The floors did get very wet after a shower, but they were not slippery and the bathroom was very clean every day when we came back after sightseeing.
Security?? Questionable. We checked in and then left for dinner, and we had to leave the keys at the front desk. Later we returned and asked for our key, and the new attendant didn't ask for our ID or anything, she just handed us the keys. It would take someone very little effort to observe when you come and go, then ask for your key and have a ball in your room with your valuables!! By the way, our valuables were always safe.
Breakfast is very basic: a piece of bread, two toasts, jam, butter, and nutella. Coffee, chocolate or tea and that is all you need to get you going on your day's adventure and eat and drink yummier things out and about!
The best thing about the hotel was its location. 2 block walk to the Termini station, where the train from the airports ends its route, and where you can take 2 metro lines and many buses. Termini station is also great for shopping and dining at every budget. There are many places to eat around the hotel, including a place across the street where they have a nice variety of gelattos. There are a couple of nice pubs within a 4 block walk from the hotel and walking late at night was very safe. The street where the hotel is located was shut down due to construction, so there was minimal noise.
The staff at this place was friendly and I will definitely pay less to stay at this hotel than to stay at a 4 star hotel (by US standards) where I'm going to give away the money I could be spending on food, sightseeing and souveniers.

“Third class hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 April 2010

Staying on railway platform is much better than staying in this hotel. We tarvel a lot but never stayed in any hotel worse than this. This hotel is only meant for drunkards (especially teenagers) who want to get drunk the whole night and make noise.
Our stay option was with "cold breakfast". Never seen in our lifr more cold breakfast than this, The kitchen incharge keeps the bread and other items like butter /jam on each of the table of dining room before closing the kitchen earllier night. The bread is not even covered, The same thing has to be eaten by the guests which is fit to throw only to the dogs/beggers.
So friends , please don't choose this hotel .

“Pew, don't go there if you want your sleep”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 April 2010

A collegue and I went to this hotel with a school-class (gymnasium, 17-19 years old pupils). One thing is that 2 of 9 rooms smelled so bad that the girls that should stay there had to sleep in their friends rooms for the first two days (no other rooms available). Another thing is: During the 6 nights stay there was not one night without a terrible noice from other school-classes, constantly shouting, partying pupils that could not even find out to lock their doors. Not much help from the hotel staff - or the responsible teachers.

Don't go there if you share the opinion that it should be silent at hotels after, let's say, 10 p.m.
