“Loved Kerouac B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 March 2005

This is an awesome b & b. It's very affordable & a much better choice than the typical hostel (plus, as a picky college student on a budget, i really resent hostels and aim for b & b's). The b & b is very clean and quite quiet. It is conveniently located near the Termini, the Colloseo, & the Santa Maria Maggiore Piazza, as well as a number of restaurants, cafes, internet places, and shops. This b & b is located in an apartment complex and houses 4 guest rooms, 1 bathroom down the hall (this may be problematic when the guests are running on a similar early morning wake-up & wash-up schedule; also, the shower's hot water tends to run out if you aren't the first one in), and a kitchen (no guest access here, unless you are getting directions from emma or ordering breakfast). The breakfast consisted of tea or coffee, toast & croissant with jelly & butter, and cornflakes. The person running this place is available from 8 am to noon or whenever requested. She is very helpful and accomodating. Overall, this b & b left a great impression on me & I would definitely stay here again.

“Kerouac B and B - a great place to stay”

Clean, friendly and excellent value - I highly recommend the Kerouac B and B so long as you dont mind the bathroom being down the hall. Location is also very handy - halfway between the train station and the colliseum.

“Rene is the best!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 May 2004

This is a great little bed and breakfast located close to the train station. Rene is amazing!! He went out of his way to help us after that horrible Alitalia lost our luggage and was giving us the runaround. The only complaint is that the breakfast is horrible, melba toast and tang, they shouldn't even bother. Other than that, I would recommend it highly, it was quite affordable.

“Not too bad at all”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 May 2004

Located about a 10 minute walk from the train station. B&B is located in what I assumed was an old apartment building up a few floors. There is no elevator. Once you get up to the rooms they are very clean and appeared to be recently renovated. We were there in May 2002. No view to speak of...unless you consider the courtyard of concrete between buildings a view. About a 10 minute walk from the Coliseum. Overall a pretty decent value. I would stay there again.

Really lovley, warm friendly place! Quiet and relaxed, very clean. The owner was on hand for any problems, for example boiler went one night, and he came round every night to make sure it didnt happen again, untill a plumber could fix it, which was two or three days. Breakfast was delisious, very fresh, well prepared. biulding wasnt the ritz, but it was clean, tidy comfortable and reasonably priced. With such a nice polite, friendly owner, you couldnt ask for more! a Great time was had by ALL!
