“Nice place, nice hosts,”

We liked Carlo Alberto house for 3 special reasons: 1) The website well done, with nice photos that demonstrate some care of the details; 2) the ospitality and politeness of the owners; 3) the nice environment. We stayed 2 night and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Personally I loved the big room with the toilet included, and the common space where to have 24h/day something to eat, coffee and some tea. Having experience of some other roma's hostels, I was positively impressed and would come again for sure.

“good location with budget”

My wife and I spent 4 nights in this B & B. The owner Lisa is an nice lady who can speck English, she doesn't leave there, so pls make sure you call her 30 mins before your arrival, or else you will be kept outside in the cold. The room and toilet are clean, spacious, has a homely-feel. Wifi included. Best of all, it's near metro, you can check Google map to know what I mean. But be warned, the B & B is at 4th floor, and the lift is super small, it cannot fit in big guys, so if you got many luggage, be prepared to carry it up to 4th floor. And.... there is no name of the B & B outside the building, that's why you must call Lisa so that she can open the door for you.

Thanks for the positive comments. Regarding your wait, we tried our best to let you in at 8:00 am. We just got stuck in city traffic because of the bus strike. But we apologize, anyway. The elevator is super small, we agree. But if you have extra luggage, there is no limit if you need to go and down a few more times.

We hope too see you and your friends again. Ciao.

“Great location, friendly hosts. clean & comfortable rooms”

We stayed at Carlo Alberto House for three nights before our cruise and three nights after our cruise. Lisa and Sal are warm and caring owners; offering additional help in making our stay pleasant. They have Wi-Fi for iPad . Our room had private bathoom/showers. refrigerator, table and chairs and very comfortable beds with warm duvets.. The breakfast included juice, milk, cereal, toast, pastries, coffee, tea and fruit. The elevator (which is tiny) starts on the second floor so you have to walk up the flight of stairs with your suitcase. We were close to transportation, shops, restaurants, sights... We certainly will recommend Carlo Alberto House to our friends when they visit Rome as we hope to return in the future. Fran and Jerry G.

A wonderful location! Downtown, next to / Railway station Termini (10 minutes), metro (1 min), Colosseum (15 minutes), and other attractions. All in walking distance.
The friendly owners of the hotel's well informed about the tourist attractions of the city with the provision of maps, so that you can do without a guide. The hotel has WI-FI. Good continental breakfast: coffee , tea, croissants, muffins, toast, butter, jam.
During the day, you can use a kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee machine.
I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend their vacation in Rome, economically and without wasting time on the road to the city center.
We were surprised that the hotel was cold, probably in October, still no heating. But the bed was comfortable, because they were warm duvets.

“great location and service”

We stayed at Carlo Alberto House for two days on September 2011. The location is great as the B&B is a 5 minute walk from stazione termini. We arrived quite late at night and the owner, Sal waited for us gave us a very worm welcome, and even offered to drop us down town on his way home, which ended in him giving us a night tour of the main locations in Rome, which was fantastic. The rooms were very clean, and the atmosphere very nice. Breakfast was basic but good. In summary I have only great things to say about the B&B and about the owners, and I will definitely stay there again in my next visit to Rome.
