“lovely little village”

Stayed here for 1 week in May. My daughter and i loved the place. It was a basic little chalet but it was ok. We were free to come and go as we pleased and thought the little shuttle bus was very handy to get to the train station. Beautiful countryside in the area. Showers were basic but hot enough.Restaurant does beautiful pasta. Totally enjoyed it and cant wait to go back.

Room Tip: the little chalets are basic but cute.

“Worst night of our lives”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2011

My daughter and I stayed here during the last week of March and had the worst experience EVER. We were the only people on the property and they put us in a mobile home at the furthest end of the property that had mold growing on all of the vents, bugs everywhere, no toilet paper, no towels, no amenities, sheets with holes in them on beds that smelled of mold and urine, no heat, the shower ran all night, and there was no hot water available. Two taxis dropped us off at the wrong locations so by the time we got to this place, which is in the middle of nowhere, we had no cash available to us. When waking up, the water next to the bedside (if you can even call them beds) had ice crystals on it. Seven Hills Village had no business offering accommodations at this time of year as they were not prepared for any visitors. They claim to have a mini-zoo...we only saw a mini-zoo of bugs that horrible night. Please, if you are trying to save money, do not stay here. The cost to get to the place plus a sleepless, miserable night is more than staying in a centralized Rome b&b or hotel.

The cabins are really cute, there is a good place to hangout. It is a bit out of Rome but a really nice place to stay.

“Nightmare”

The hostel is terrible to get to - don't think you can experience the Rome night life. The trains stop just after 10 and it would take hours to get from Rome back to the village. Then you need to take a dangerous 15min walk in the dark from the train station to get back. During the day there is a shuttle service, but time tables are not kept and we waited hours for the bus to leave/arrive.

The bathrooms were not cleaned every day and most of the doors in disrepair.

To make our experience even worse, there was a Polish group who completely ignored all the rules, played music and make a heck of a noise until 4am every morning. After hectic clashes and vicious fights we had lock ourselves in our cabin for fear of being attacked further by the drunk men. The grounds keeper had no authority and the manager was dead and buried. We were disgusted and exhausted when we left and would not recommend anyone else very make use of these facilities.

The camping have a bus service. The bus will take you to the nearest metro station, 5 minutes from the village. The center of Rome is just 20 minutes. Walking is certainly a complicated path. CUSTOMERS ARE YOUNG. THEY WANT TO HAVE FUN THEN MAKE SOME NOISE. They never cause big problems!
THANKS

“Resistance is futile!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2009

Cheapest way to stay in/near Roma, but you turn over some control of your life to the campground management for the duration of your stay there. For instance: (a) must use their pre-paid debit cards rather than Euros for all on-site purchases; (b) campground is located 2km down a rural road so the shuttle meets trains at La Giustiana station with 30 minute service from 8am to 8pm (shuttle costs E0.50 each way, trains cost E1.90 into Roma each way); (c) swimming in the pool costs EXTRA. Other than the "control issues", this place works quite well, most staff are friendly, expensive internet access is available, but grocery/beer prices are reasonable.
