“Ruins in Rome”

Our Agent booked this for us, not till I had a look on tripadvisor did I fear the worst, but since it was just a place to sleep thought cant be that bad .............

On level 5 stayed there 4 nights, very large room, family of 4, so far so good, breakfast was pretty ordinary (but not as bad as some reviews), the shower was mmmmm, how can I put it mmmmmm, either very cold (fresh to say the least) or stinking hot (loss weight by burning off a layer of skin when using), I brought to their attention every day it wasnt till the day before we left they tried to fix but still didnt work as it should have, didnt risk allowing kids have a shower. Our room had an internal lock, but didnt work as above brought to their attention (Yep, will get someone to look, they may have looked but didnt fix it !), very noise location as on a main street,
We walked everywhere so to be honest location didnt really add any value, you get what you pay for - not what we were used to but it did seem clean, but very old and to be fair to owners I dont think they truely understand the needs of the customers ??

Dont book this hotel not only is it dusty and dirty with holes in the sheets, but it is a safety hazzard with faulty plugs and sockets and mould in the bathroom. The entrace lobby is dimly lit cold and uninviting like the staff such a shame as Rome is such a beautiful city.On the plus there are plenty of other cleaner safer hotels in the same area.

“Good location but that's about it.....”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

I agree with most of the reviews..the place is horrible. This place has seen better days. If you're lucky you will manage to have a hot shower. I have no clue how they managed to make it look so amazing on their website but whoever did the website must have spent endless hours photoshoping! We were too scared to switch on the AC so i'm not sure if they work. The only advantage is the location cause it is very central and close to the metro and all the main attractions. The breakfast is as dry as Gandhi's sandles......but its cheap you get exactly what you pay for.

“terrible place ...cheap though!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

The only nice thing of this Hotel is their shiny website. No idea how they managed to shoot these photos, but most probably not without photoshopping them or making photos of different locations!

The whole hotel is shabby and run down. The breakfast is really horrible (dry rolls > 2 days old, Processed, plastic packked cheese slices and terrible ham). My room had the air condition of the whole hostel clos to its window so it sounded like sleeping on the street, the room of my friend had huge water/moist spots on its walls
