“awful”

We booked for twin rooms, when we got there, they did not have the booking, they gave us a room with no rail in the wardrobe, a double bed and the room was so small you could not open the wardrobe, eventually after complaining they gave us the room next door, but it took a lot of complaining. this was not much better, the shower was so small do not try to use it if you are over a size uk 8, it was beyond a joke, It felt a real dive. it was also lucky we did not need heating,, the aircon looked burnt out with not controls. would avoid. they still charged me the full amount with no apology. Look out as it also goes under other names like Philia.

Dear Mrs Dickinson,
we were waiting for you rewiew!!!!
You are giving us the possibility to reply to you saying the truth.
First of all: you or your friend came to the hotel pretended to check-in at 8:00 a.m....So I suppose that every person knows that the check-in time is usually aftert 11 a.m.
Second: you came without booking but we hold you and we tried to accomodate you without let you go away to find a room in a period of high season where all the hotels are totally full. We have ask to other guests to find another hotel to hold you !!! I want to specify that we gave you a triple room not a twin ( AS YOU SAY YOU BOOKED!!!) so for us is very hard to understand about the bed you wrote... You complained about the shower saying that you couldn't use it cause of your healt's problem...so we don't succed in understanding where's our fault...You cannot burn into the room because the heating is still switch off; the air condition is locked because we will open it o nJune and you didn't ask for the remote control to open it.
Third: HOTEL PHILIA is totally different!!! They could report you because you write an uncorrected thing and I will contact them to be sure that they will signal you to trip advisor for your rewiew!!! Best regards

“It's worst hotel I'd ever see”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 August 2010

We had a honey moon and was in Rome for 12 days. And we stayed in different 3 Hotels:
1) Des Artistes - it was perfect, nice staff very good breakfast.
2) Then Andreotti - it's was okey, staff was not so friendly and don't speak much English. But breakfast was very good.
3) Then we came in this awful place. It's very mean place. You can decide on your own:
- they didn't bring to us any new glasses
- shampoo and soap only when we ask on the reception
- and after last cleaning brought only one towel. It's room for two.
- breakfast is very-very bad - you can take only one coffee and it' very bad and one croissant. I never see something like this before
- we book our hotel through HotelTravel.com and they did a nistake in the voucher. And we had to pay but those people ask us for a 100 euros for room instead 70 like on site. And argue with us and threaten with police. It was last day in Rome and we had flight.

At least if you ask such money you had provide a good service.

My advice never stay in this hotel :( I'm very disappointed they screwed up the last day of our honey moon.

“Very good for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 February 2009

It is very OK, good central location. Nice and friendly staff. Breakfast very good, concidering normal Italien Standard. Rooms are small but they are clean. Entrance hall and lift area is terrible, but when you come into the different floors belonging to Adventure everyhting is nice and fine.

“Disappointing”

Stayed here for two nights in August. The shower was freezing both mornings. The stairwell was filthy and the lift was full of graffiti. Our room was very noisy and smelt funny.

“It's not so bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2005

We stayed at Hotel Adventure on our way home to Australia. We had gotten off the bus in Rome and needed two nights. Hotel Adventure was the first hotel available, and not too far to walk with our luggage! I did not find a problem with it. We stayed in a comfortable clean room on the fifth floor. It was quiet. The shock was the size of the bathroom, especially the shower, which I could hardly get into. The whole bathroom was approx 1m x 1m and fitted a toilet, bidet, sink & shower. The breakfasts were good, and I really enjoyed the coffee - anyway you wanted and bottomless. We paid 80 Euros a night for a double. I couldn't compare to anything else - but it wasn't so bad.
