As previous reviewers have said, this hotel is in an excellent location and is extremely convenient for all sites, shopping and good restaurants/bars. It does however have a major problem in that the rooms are not well noise insulated, We were in a room facing Via del Corso which was very noisy (nightly rubbish collection, groups of loud people etc) but we also had the misfortune to be located next door to the most inconsiderate couple who started their day around 7.30am with a huge row which went on for at least 2 hours despite my husband banging on the wall and me complaining to reception. They also chain smoked i their room and the smell came in to our room and the corridor via the air con - after 4 nights we were glad to come home. I am sure that this however does not happen all the time - but if we ever return to this hotel I would be quicker to ask for another room.
The breakfast was chaotic between 9.30 and 10.15 - possibly due to the lack of anyone taking charge. The variety of cold food was adequate but since a lot of the guests were English, it may have been nice to have some hot food supplied as well, Having said that - it could make for more complaints as they didn't seem to be able to cope with what they are currently offering.
There is a pleasant bar on the first floor which has a couple of computers for the guests to use, This is very useful as we could print off our boarding cards and check in on line etc, The downside of this first floor bar is that it is very close to the first floor bedrooms and I am sure that if they have the same insulation as we did, then they didn't get to sleep early each evening,
We asked the hotel about a taxi to the airport and was told they had a special deal with a taxi company and would arrange one for 48euros, Since we only paid 40euros to get to the hotel we walked up to the Spanish Steps (3 mins) and got one from the taxi rank at 40euros
