“Good for spending a few nights”

First of all I have to say what I disliked at all, that was the neighbourhood, the train station was awfully inscribed with graffiti and the place looked spookish, but on the other hand a train ticket costs only about 1 Euro, so it´s good price for travelling to the city center (journey lasts about 25 minutes). The next minus is that the hotel doesn´t have own guarded car park, you can park your car near the hotel, where is a lot of place, but when we came back to the hotel after all day, we found out that somebody had tried to rob our car.
Some positives are that the staff was very kind, when we arrived about midnight and give us room with air condition, beautiful bathroom,TV... Some wardrobe was broken, but it didn´t matter to us. Breakfast contained various types of food (fruit, vegetable, ham, cheese, eggs, croissants etc.). For drinking they offered juice, but it didn´t taste very well and coffee. In general I could spend next stay in Rome in this hotel too, but only if I didn´t travel by car. I´m too afraid.

“hotel is ok but if you can afford go somewhere else”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2009

I visited Roma in the end of Octomber with my wife and my sister and her husband. We chose this hotel and bookend on the internet as it was the best offer we could get and reading the other visitors review we thought would be ok. Hotel is not bad, staff is really friendly but I think is little bit to far from town and waist a lot of time to get there. Good thing is that it is really close to the train station that take you to Flaminiu Metro Station and from there to Termini Metro Station . Breakfeast ..well many said it is great but i think is poor. Only some meat and cereals ....no fruits no vegetables, maybe it was better before the crisis but not now...not enough choices, nothing warm for example some bacon, ham, egs nothing...in rest prettty clean and not too noisy.Hallora!!!!!!!!

“Worth the stay if you arrive early enough in Rome”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2009

Honestly, this hotel was great and we were both pleasantly surprised. However, if you arrive to Rome airport after about 6pm you will struggle to find transport to get you there and will end up (as we did because we arrived at 9pm) paying 65euro for a taxi. If you get in early enough, catch the train to Termini, then Metro line A to Flaminius and then the train to La Celsa and it is about 3min walk down the hill to the hotel (right out of the station).

Once you are there, it only actually takes about 20min to get into Rome city centre and is really easily accessible with trains coming every 10mins. It does kind of feel like the 'ghetto' due to all the graffitti but we are two girls and we never once felt unsafe or insecure about the area.

Would definately return now that I know the above information.

“Lovely Hotel- Shame about the local area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2009

I stayed at the Hotel Flaminius because a friend was getting married in a villa on the other side of Prima Porta. The hotel itself was very nice, the room was clean and a good size, also with a fridge which was very handy. The rooms are also airconditioned which is essential in Rome in August as it was 40 degrees most days and very humid! All the staff I dealt with were very polite and helpful. The hotel is a little outside Rome but it is only 200m to the train station, the trains run frequently and take 20 minutes to get into Flaminio Station, from which its very easy to get to all the tourist spots, also the train is only 1 euro per trip, but make sure you buy the ticket before you leave the hotel and be sure to validate it on the train or you will get fined! There are maps of rome and instructions on how to use public transport in the hotel lobby which we found very helpful. Overall the only thing I wasnt happy with is Prima Porta, the town where the hotel is- It's horrible. Everything is covered in graffitti, nothing seems to ever be open. We were stared at everywhere we went and there seems to be inumerable groups of men hanging around all the time which I found very intimidating. It's not a huge issue since you don't really need to go to Prima Porta for anything except the mini-mart (La Celsa Station is on the other side of the hotel) but just be prepared to spend all your time in central rome since there is nothing locally.

“Clean, Comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 June 2009

We chose this hotel, because the rate was exceptionally good compared to everything else we found, and also included a complimentary breakfast, and easy access to the metro. We also wished to stay outside of the city centre. It was in a very quiet neighbourhood. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy here, and perhaps a little dated, but the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. Room was small, but what you would expect for Europe, and included a balcony. VERY easy access to the metro, and a short 20 minute ride into the centre. Would highly recommend this hotel for the budget conscious traveller, and would stay there again myself.
