“Nice little Hotel on a nasty noisy street”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2007

You wouldn't want to have this as a base of operations in my opinion as the neigborhood is pretty gross and traffic and constant car horns (like 30 blowing all at the same time) are kind of annoying. We found it perfect though though to come in from Cinque Terre in the evening as the train station is a block away and grab the airport train the next am. Room was nice, clean and staff fine and the price very fair on internet . Can't comment on the breakfast as we had to leave before that. I would check out neighborhoods near the Spanish Steps for a longer stay as this train station ilke any , makes for a grimy neighborhood and you won't get the true flaver of Rome. A few years ago I stayed at a R. Steves fav "Hotel Nardizi Americano" which I thought was very nice and central and I notice he still loves it.

“Excellent!”

My friends & I stayed at the Marconi for 4 nights. Both rooms were very nice, well appointed & very clean. The breakfasts were adequate, just make sure you dont go late! The only down side in my opinion is the area. The hotel is opposite Termini rail station & whilst it is central for buses, trains etc, the area is a bit tatty with more than its fair share of beggars etc. In saying that, we never experienced any problem.
I would go back & stay in this hotel with my husband & my friends all felt the same.
All in all a very nice hotel offering good value for money.

“Good hotel a block from Termini Station”

Recently renovated, this is hotels resembles an american chain hotel, like a Best Western or Holliday Inn. Very professional and clean, with good instalations and breakfeast. The room and the bathroom were both big and spacious. Also well kept and clean.

The location is not the most charming in Rome, but great for those arriving or leaving by trais, or to cath the Leonardo Express to Fiumiccino airport.

Conclusion: I would stay there again if had a short time in Rome or where on business. In a honeymoon, I would look for a more exciting location.

Paid 120EUR, but could have paid 100EUR if booked 48 hours in advance through the internet.

“Would definitely recommend”

Just back after 5 days in Rome - this hotel is practically on the doorstep of Termini.Very clean hotel, great breakfast, towels changed and room cleaned every day. No large reception and no bar area, but if you are in Rome to see the sights, it won't matter. I came back exhausted every night after all the walking!! There is a bus for 5 euro from Ciampino which leaves you off at Termini. Not great for the return journey though as it only goes every few hours. The best tour bus to get is definitely the red 110 - 13 euro and does all the major sites - don't go on the greeny, its nowhere near as good. We have been wearing t-shirts all week as the weather has been gorgeous. Comfortable shoes essential and a foot spray a must at the end of the day! The pizza/pasta place next door is excellent and very good value for money. If you are in the area of the colesseum and don't mind spending a bit extra - Pasqualinas is excellent - great staff - wonderful food and a real treat!
