“Convinient location.”

The hotel was small but cosy. The stuff was really friendly and the rooms were nice. The bed was very confortable. The bathroom was ok but a renovation wouldnt be such a bad idea. Breakfast was good. It had cakes, eggs, croissant, cheese, ham, milk, variety of yogurt, cereal. What more can anyone ask for? The hotel is just a block away from the Termini station (2 minutes walk) which makes moving around the city really easy. Next to the metro & the bus station. Termini is also the drop off point of buses from and to the Ciampini airport. So really convinient. I would definetely stay again!

“Wifi”

location is good for short stay. Rooms are typical, but they have a crazy system of using the cable TV and Wifi. Be carefull on getting overcharged on your mobile phone, as the Wifi is not free. You can go to the Roma Termini to find a free Wifi hot spot. Breakfast was the worst during my entire time in Itlay.

“Not what we expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2011

Arrived Rome Oct 2010 and went directly to hotel from the Termini. The overall experience wasn't entirely unsatisfactory, however, the area where the Marconi is located is 2 blocks from Rome Termini and is not the most desirable area to be in. The receptionist (man) wasn't at all friendly. Hotel could use some updating.

“Great location, but average hotel and poor staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 June 2011

We had to stay here when our itinerary changed, so we found vacancy at the Marconi on the fly. The receptionist was a real piece of work. He was very unfriendly and almost annoyed that we wanted to stay there for the evening. He said 3 things to us while we were there...the price per night for a room, the fact that he needed our credit card and passport, and then what room number we were in. We were basically on our own from there.

They claim to have free wifi, but it doesn't work (or we couldn't get to work with the help of the front desk, but with no avail), and they taut air conditioning in the rooms, but the hotel controls the thermostat.

However, the one of the few things they have going for them is that it is a great location. A 5-minute walk to the train station and very close to the Roman National Museum.

“Brilliant location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 March 2011

My hubby and I stayed at Marconi Hotel for 3 nites, superb location, literally mins from the Termini, we had paid a transfer fee of £65.00 (for us both - return) from the airport to the hotel, however, when arriving at airport we could have paid only 8 euros each, return, to get to the termini, which really is so close. Transport is so easy in Rome. The hotel was immaculately clean and tidy and reception staff very helpful. The map in Reception is a must have. The restaurant / pizzeria opposite the hotel on the corner is AMAZING, we had the nicest food there, and also found it to be the cheapest for food and drink! You can sit inside or out, and the staff were wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyable trip.
