We stayed here in May 2004. The main problem was the lack of a decent breakfast. I think anyone deserves more than some stale long-life bread and half a carton of UHT milk for cornflakes. One manager blamed the other and claimed that if bought food for the guests he would not get paid for it! However the rooms were clean.
We stayed at this bed and breakfast in Rome just after it opened two years ago. We would highly recommend it. It is in an older apartment building, near the Coliseum, and close to the Manzoni metro station. The apartment has 4-5 rooms only, with two bathrooms that are shared. Don't bother with a privrate bathroom - it is not ensuite, so hardly privrate. The owners are experienced in the tourist industry, speak english, and are very helpful ( ordering taxis, recommending restaurants). The rooms are large, high-ceilinged, and the area is very quiet ( a real plus in Rome!). Breakfast is coffee, fruit and croissants, and there is a kitchen that guests can use at any time to make tea and coffee. We particularily liked being off the tourist track, in an area where Romans live, while still being within walking distance of old Rome. We're going back to Rome next month, and staying in the same B&B!
