Aw, where do I start with the Pantheon View, bless its little cotton socks. It is clearly described on the website and 'does exactly what it says on the tin'. Yes, the front door is slightly tricky to locate the first time you arrive but after that its easy, yes the elevator is the smallest one i've ever seen and squeezed into but to me this all adds to the charm of the place. The bed is comfy, the room has all the basic B&B essentials you need on a holiday. However, you cannot fault the Pantheon View for its location. I wouldn't say its a view but you can see a corner of the Pantheon or the roof of it (depending on room) so technically it is a view. Its literally 30 seconds from the Pantheon so if you want a true view then just walk outside and there it is in all its glory. The only improvement the B&B could make is in the bathroom - the shower is a squeeze and the water temperature is a bit hit and miss throughout the day but again, it's not a showstopper by any means and adds to the cuteness and quirkiness of the place. For the price and location within central Rome you cant really fault it. If you want to pay more, then sure there are other places of higher standard but it is so reasonably priced for its location I would definitely stay there again (now I know about its quirks). After check in you're kind of left to yourself really as the host gives you a tour of 'the house' which makes you feel welcome. The 'breakfast' is served early but you can help yourself on a tray and take it back into your room or onto your balcony to eat. the breakfast is simple - cheese, bread, pastries etc - and cakes are left out during the day which are free to take with you or have whenever you are peckish. The rooms are cleaned between 1000-1100 which is a bit early but a 'do not disturb' sign on the door solves this problem - and to be fair we left our room after 1100 each day we were there and the room was still cleaned after this time which was nice of them. If you want a fancy pants boutique B&B in Rome then this is not the place for you, but if you want practicality in terms of room, provisions and location then this is definitely the place for you and the price cannot be faulted! Long may the Pantheon View live :-)
Room Tip: We stayed in Room 1 which was a double with a shared balcony (with Room 2) and side view of the Pant...
