“Completely disappointing location and room needs updating badly”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2010

My sister and I had planned on spending 6 nights here. We arrived and were sickened that because of a U2 concert we could not get other accommodations. We stayed 2 nights and moved on. The room is from the 60's. Twin beds that really were cots; one plug in to share for all our cameras, phones and computer; one nightside table - the other bed had to use the floor; a tv that might have been a 13' screen and in a poor location in the room; NO toilet paper holder in the bathroon - the roll had to share the towel rack by the sink; the call bell in bathroom was hanging - wires exposed (I have pictures to prove it). NO phone anywhere on the premises so we counldnt even call for a taxi; no one is around the building to help with any information, the location is so far from anything handy to see or do. There is bus service, but then you still have to walk a couple of blocks to the B & B. When we finally contacted the owner to tell her we would be leaving and to discuss the poor conditions of the room, she pretended she didnt speak english and she indicated she could not understand us..... These people need to be reported to someone, but I have no idea who!! I'm not sure it would do any good!!!

When guests arrived they were already extremely disappointing and tired for the traffic in Roma , but , sorry , that's Rome, not our fault.
The room is completely renovated 6 months ago.
There are 3 different plug in in the room.
There are one night table for each bed ( they moved one away to take pictures). There is a toilet paper holder in the bathroom (why you didn't take picture of it)?
They did broke the call bell by pulling it too strong but we did repair it immediately
The office is open 08.00 - 21.00 for every guest needs and housekeeper lives in the same villa for any need at any hour.
A person speaking english is always here
They leaved saying thanks for the stay and then they sent a completely false report.....

“Great little B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2008

Found this through www.Italian-bandb.it. It was little west of all the attractions, but a block from a bus stop which we took everywhere.

In a residential neighborhood, it is an older building with character. They have two terraces which look out over a valley with individual gardening plots.

The breakfast was great! Croissants and coffee, biscotti, bread and orange juice. Giancarlo and Miriam don't speak much English, but were very nice.

There are a few local restaurants near bye which are reasonable in price and good food, plus two grocery stores with fresh bread, cheese and wine.

A good value and nice people.

“Good deal, but don't expect much”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2007

this place has seen better days. It is 5 miles outside of the city, but it is in a residential area and we had to walk to everything. one day there was nothing open on the whole street except a pizza place, and that was the last thing any of us wanted. the good thing was that our room had a really cold a/c and the price was right. Just don't be surprised if the information on the web site does not match the real location. Don't get me wrong it was decent, but newly renovated it was not.. In the green, not really, it is surrounded by apartment buildings. anyways, like I said the price was good, but I would not stay here again.

  • Liked — cood a/c
  • Disliked — location, breakfast, lack of english speaking help.

“Charming B/&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2006

Myself and my wife had a very nice stay in B&B Roma. Giancarlo and Myriam are charming hosts as are the two girls working for them. Nice bedroom, good bedding, and a beautiful flowery garden. Enjoyed our breakfast each morning in the sun lounge. Ciao, Fran and Sylvie Hopper

“Dump”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2006

Me and my wife stayed at the B&B in Rome and let me tell you it was not like the website! We got the transfer for 50E.The car smelled like old dogs and if you got there you'll find out why. They said on the site that Gino and Miriam speak English. They dont! You are told on the site that you will have breakfast in a warm spot inside with music.Instead you are not permitted in the house and you have breakfast in the cold ouside on plastic chairs and instant coffe and a day old danish. You are not close to anything. Its a 40 minute busride to center. The room was a DUMP!The hospitality a joke! The price a rip-off.Everybody we met at the B&B that were guests were nice people who felt that we were all taking for a ride.Good luck if you decide to stay there.
