“Lovely stay.”

We went to this hotel during the snow... So got the train from the airport (leonardos express-1 stop journey to termini) termini is the metro station& central train station. Tip; don't get a taxi to this hotel as it cost us 25euro to get there then learned the day after the metro was only 1 euro per person for 75minutes and it was 3 stops away. You need to go to Bologna metro then walk down the road it's about 10/15 minute walk up the road you pass come to a 2nd round about from the hotel.

Try and avoid speaking to people/ obtaining eye contact as they will ask you for money. At one point we had a man follow us. The country it's self is great metro to colleseum is worth it watch the soldiers if they offer to take photos as after then then ask you for 20euros as we learned! But in Rome that's what you need to do ... Learn. Would recommend booking the Roma tour bus we paid £15.00 for both of us for a 2day pass which took us to Vatican city they are lovely.

Any way about the hotel... It was lovely the staff are so helpful and try there best to communicate. Hotel room cleaned everyday fresh towels extra pillows in the wardrobe and quilts. Room is nicely presented. With wines water cokes etc nuts, chocolate, crisps there. And a honest price list. We seemed to drink a lot yet our bill was only 9.00 euro during a 3 night stay you have to pay Rome tax per person 3.00 euro per night - I think that's standard in rome. It is near a lot of food joints so perfect if you wanted it for wine & dining. The porter is so polite. Ummm can't think of anything bad we slept well room was lovely and clean really warm. And had a nice scent to the room almost like air fresher but there wasn't any... Channels aren't great but rooms have free wifi. Which is not very often in hotels. Can't think of anything else to add.

Sorry about not just letting you know bout hotel just want you to make the most of your stay. If pleasure.

If you want to know any thing else feel free to message me.

“Week Long Trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Location and service were excellent. Very handy for the metro into the city centre. Very reasonable price. It was rated as a 4 star hotel but it was a bit basic. However all of the staff were very friendly and had good English. It's "no frills" but served our purposes very well. The room was a decent size and was very comfortable. Found it a great base for visiting all of Rome's attractions.

“Value/money = above average”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Hotel is 8 minutes walk from Bologna metro station down the hill. (Bologna metro station is 3rd station from Termini, way out of Colosseum or Vatican city, from hotel it takes around 30-40 minutes to be there). Not many restaurants or shops close to hotel. Hotel is in nice and peaceful city surrounding. Restaurant on the top of hotel is purely isolated, especially to be found in the cold winter like in Feb 2012. Room is bigger than average and may be repainted in the future. Bathroom (shower and sink) is nice a big. Bed is clean. Part of the room is a big balcony. The view out of room is on the other buildings.

“An Excellent Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

I have to say that I was a bit worried after reading a couple of reviews on TripAdvisor. I was expecting a tiny room, a totally unpleasant neighborhood, unfriendly staff, average breakfast and an inconvenient location.

However, as soon as I checked-in and entered my room, I had a sigh of relief as nothing was true. The staff at the reception was more than friendly with us; they even checked us in 2 hours in advance! The room was cozy, clean and with all the facilities (even some sport equipments in the wardrobe) and the bathroom more than what I was expecting from a hotel in Rome. The room also had a small balcony with street view. Furthermore, the location is not unsafe, nor noisy. In fact the area at Piazza Bologna is cramped with students (it is more like a university area, or something).

The breakfast was served on the roof garden; although it had heating it was a little bit cold up there, but it was January after all! They had a wide variety of cereals, fruits, yoghurts. Pastry items such as doughnuts and croissants were also available and so were cheese and ham, together with gem, chocolate, honey, etc. They had all you needed for a good breakfast.

Finally, the location was not bad at all, a 7 minute stroll from the metro line. As it turned out the metro was the most convenient way of traveling through Rome and it comes really frequently. From the hotel you will need 15 minutes to reach the Collosseum and about 20-25 to the Vatican City.

My overall experience at Hotel delle Province was great; I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Have a nice stay in Rome!

“Good value”

I've stayed here a few times on business over a 3 year period. I've never had any major problems, and the service is friendly. Rooms are fairly large for Rome. Satellite TV in every room (only a couple of news stations in English, but better than nothing). The bathrooms could do with a deep clean. Nothing serious, but starting to show their age.

Free WiFi, a good selection at breakfast (on the roof top!) , comfortable beds.

The location is about a 10-15 minute walk from the nearest metro station, and there are many bars and restaurants in the area.

Tip: Ask for a coffee from the waitress at breakfast, rather than use the coffee machine. Her coffee is 100 times better!
