“Horrible dried rolls for breakfast, bad coffee, charged for internet and fleas...if you like that, stay here.”

As hostels go, this place looks good when you first see it but I would say that it isn't worth even ten euros to stay at this place. We were sent there from their sister property, the Downtown Alessandro which seemed pretty good but had no beds left. I was with two Indian guys who were also turned away from the downtown hostel. The guy at the desk was cool, the bar looked good, and it seemed like a great place, but in actuallity...I wouldn't stay there again. He put the three of us in a three bed room for 20 euros each and made a great recommendation to go to the pizza place down the road. That was great but as for the rest....I got bit by fleas in the room, the two indian guys had to share two beds pushed together (there was no room to pull them apart), the wifi internet only works on the first floor and you only get 1/2 hour for free then you have to pay 1 euro an hour (lame, come on, I carry my computer and even coffee shops and train stations give free wifi) same as if you use their computers. Breakfast was totally awful, like world war two ship biscuits with some jam and the worst coffee I've had anywhere. Take my advice, drink tea. On the plus side, the shower was hot and strong, just like the coffee. Definitely though I was bit by something during the night I stayed here...whether bed bugs or fleas, I'm not sure, but I'm guessing it was fleas since the bite patterns didn't comform to bed bugs. Do yourself a favor, stay somewhere away from Termini or get a decent room somewhere else.

“terrible service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2011

Don't stay in this hostel. We never had a service like that in any other hostel.
We arrived in the afternoon to prepare our beds and leave all our stuff. When we came back at night there was someone in the bed and all our stuff was gone. The deskguy had given one of our beds to someone else without telling us and put all our stuff in the public room downstairs. And they never mention it. And when we ask why they did that, they just react with a big lack of care. This was a complete lack of privacy, ( we was completly instaled, pyjamas under pillow, thootbrosh....)
They promised they would contact us and they never did.
I will never go back in this hostel.

“great hostel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2011

I enjoyed my time in this hostels but I must say that I've had better. The room was spacious , modern and clean: no complaints! It has an elevator which is very useful when you travel with many bags as I usually do. Breakfast is all right, the bread sometimes was rather difficult to chew, I guess they use the leftovers from the previous day. The bar offered spicy, cold pizza at 8.30pm. The bar was rather expensive! When I booked this hostel its website said that it had free wifi but actually it's 30mins per day which for me wasn't enough. An additional hour is a euro. This hostel is very crowded all the time since it's known as a good budget hostel so if you prefer peace and quiet, go elsewhere. The hostel is very big so many guests can be there in the same time as you. Anyway, I still think it's a great hostel especially because of its location (really close to termini!!!)

“Not worth it for the price...”

We stayed here for 3 nights in September 2010 and whilst it was OK... wouldn't be a hostel I would go back to again.
We arrived at 9pm at night and as we came through the doors, some American girl said "Ohhh I hope your luggage isn't heavy, the lift isn't working" not the kind of welcome you want after having travelled from Greece all afternoon! Unfortunately my bag was heavy and the lift wasn't working so it wasn't a happy trip up to the 3rd floor... our room mates were quiet Brazillian girls and left soon after we arrived so no problems with noise from them. There were a pair of black panties attached to the matress above me (I had the bottom bunk) which was pretty gross, and they were not taken down the 2 nights we were in the room even after requesting twice at Reception.
Water pressure in bathroom was great but whole bathroom flooded (quite normal throughout Europe). We moved rooms on our last night, and the bathroom in this particular room STANK and unfortunately made the entire room a bit smelly... definitely something a bit wrong with the pipes in that room!
They were doing renovation works to the hostel the entire time we were there and whilst the noise wasn't really an issue, there were smelly chemicals being used constantly (think of the liquid paper smell mixed with paint everytime you were on the ground floor) and the builders left their supplies just lying around which seemed a bit dangerous but it's a hostel so I guess it was just overlooked.
Price was quite expensive for what it was but all accomm in Rome seemed to be quite pricey, but think if we had looked around we definitely could have found something a bit more reasonably priced...
Wouldn't go back to again next time I'm in Rome

“Nice place for backpackers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2010

I had stayed at its sister place Allesandro Downtown in a previous visit so decided to try this one this time. The place is almost as close to Termini as Alls. Downtown cousin I was in a four bed mixed dorm for a night with 3 girls!
Anyways was in the hostel for a short one night but can say its pretty decent.. clean place.free wifi..pizza/pasta party is great as always..one of the slices i picked wa sreally yummy.. guess it had mushroom inside ..:)
ppl were very friendly.. the guys checking- you in are also very helpful and quick to process checkin formalities..which was good.
