“At home in Rome..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 June 2011

We spent 3 nights with Luciano on our first trip to Italy, and starting in Rome. Needless to stay we were a bit disoriented to start, but Luciano made us feel completely at home, helped us with our plans (including making some reservations before we arrived), and personally guided us (through a down-pour no less) to the best place to buy our train tickets to Florence (no extra service charge). We looked forward to breakfast each day, when we could share our adventures and get new tips for that day. The location is great, as you can walk to most of the main attractions in Rome, or take the buses that are about a block away.

“Wonderful host”

Luciano is a wonderful host (always smiling) and his B&B is in the perfect location for walking to ALL attractions and sites. His family have been in same house for 5 generations. Luciano & his wife are very helpful with local knowledge. Surrounded by restuarants, 5 minutes walk to Piaza Navone & 10 minutes walk to Vatican.
Location of this little B&B cannot be beaten.

“Can't beat this hotel from price and location”

B&B Luciano Pascucci is located on a perfect side street about a 10 minute walk from several great attractions in Rome, including Piazza Navona, the Parthenon, and Campo dei Fiori. Yet it is far enough from the attractions and on a small street so you feel totally removed from the crush of tourists in Rome. The architecture, woodwork, art and style of the building and apartment make you feel like you are living in 17th century Rome, it was terrific and unique place to stay. All of this combined with the price (less than half the price of most hotels in the area) make it a great value.

That said, it's not for everybody - you are the only guests inside what is essentially Luciano's apartment. You do have your own room and bathroom with locking door, but you are entering his home and at times it can feel a bit strange if you are used to hotels. Luciano is very friendly and helpful but also very talkative, so if you're the type that likes to keep to yourself keep that in mind. Overall, I highly recommend.

“Wonderful, helpful host, excellent location, clean comfortable room.”

Luciano Pascucci, our host, is as a kind, knowledgeable, helpful father figure who makes sure we don't get pick-pocketed, who reserves tickets for us so we don't waste time in long lines, who saves us money and time buying train tickets, who negotiates reasonable taxi rates to the airport and who recommends inexpensive but great restaurants nearby!
The location is superb: Castel St'Angelo bridge and a view of St Peter's Dome just steps away! Buses (1 euro) are only a block and a half away and even 70-yr olds can walk downhill back to the B&B from any of the major Rome attractions except Via Appia and Ostia Antica!!!.
The room is small by North American standards but the bed is big enough for people like us used to King size. You have to keep slim if you want to fit into the shower. The bidet is a real treat as were the free map and all the reference books on Rome and Italy.
This was a great find!

“Perfect Location, home away from home...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 March 2011

We stayed at Luciano's B&B for 4 nights, late January 2011. We were warmly welcomed, and Luciano was a gracious host, he helped us settle in after a 26 hour flight..., and recommended a local restaurant which didn't let us down! We had our own space, yet felt like we were staying somewhere familiar. Our room was perfect, and warm (it was winter time.. ) but we were really comfortable and had everything we needed, en-suite, linen closet, fridge, T.V. a collection of travel books (which came in handy and we used to plan our next days..) umbrellas (didn't need them, the weather was lovely), and we slept really well there, it was so quiet!
Luciano was generous with his Rome knowledge, and we shared a few travel plan suggestions over breakfast each morning before we set out for our day.
The location was GOLD! We walked everywhere, and all the major attractions are an easy walk.
We could come back to Luciano's for a catnap, or drop our backpacks off in the afternoons sometimes, then go out for dinner. We had a great time, and it really is such a great location. We'd stay there any time we visit Rome again.
Luciano and his wife were so generous and we are grateful that our hosts were so genuine, warm and passionate in making our stay enjoyable.
We'd recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to explore Rome.
