This hotel is about a 12 euro cab ride from down town or an hour by bus during rush hour. Very functional atmosphere, accustomed to groups. Internet available in the lobby, hours are limited and end at 10:30 p.m. On check in concierge was clear about noise, breakfast hours, etc. Rooms were small, beds pretty hard and small. Bathroom functional and clean. Hairdryer in bathroom. Breakfast fresh, but rather plain, bread, buns, danishes, butter, jam, juice, coffee. Staff in the breakfast room rarely even gave anyone a second look, just went about their work and talked to each other. Grocery store and selection of cheap to expensive restaurants nearby. Grocery store was a neat adventure to see all of the different products, including pastas, oils, vinegars, wines, fruits, etc. Bakery and coffee shop up the street tot he right that came alive in the evening with locals. This hotel has a lovely little garden sheltered from the busy main street. When I checked on-line, I though it had a pool, but I couldn't find one. In any case, clean hote, friendly desk staff, okay breakfast. Nice enough spot and fairly quiet at night in spite of being on the main street.

I loved La Pergola. It was tastefully decorated. The garden was wonderful to relax in. Service was friendly and they had a great sense of humor. Loved the large, for Rome, bathrooms. The free wifi in the lobby was nice, and you could even get on their computer for free. The lobby was also comfortable and a cool place to just hang and meet people. The room I stayed in was a little small, but there were five people crammed in it. I would recomend La Pergola to anyone.

This is an older hotel with a few quirks, but it's still run decently, it's comfortable and the staff are really quite friendly. We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour and found it a bit strange, but our stay ended up being comfortable and uneventful. The walls are a bit thin, so you'll likely hear activity in other rooms, but the rooms are large enough and the bathrooms were in fairly good repair. No nasty surprises, so we were satisfied. The hotel staff were definitely very friendly and helpful.

We were part of a Trafalgar European tour group (cost-saver). We stayed at this hotel 2 nights and really spent minimal time in the room/hotel – after all we were in Europe to sightsee!
