Stayed with my wife at the La Pergola hotel for 5 nights during our stay in Rome. The staff were friendly and helpful. Some reviewers commented on the rooms small. I thing room are typicaly european size. Room was clean, linen changed regularly and towels changed daily nice breakfast room. Breakfast in the morning was varied and plentiful was cereals, yoghurts, fruit and masses of cakes and croissants Staff were very friendly and helpful free interner conner in the lobby and free wi fi in the room There is a really good restaurant on the opposite side of the road "Pizzando e Grigliando" The hotel is 15-20 minutes (depending on what time of day you travel) by bus into the centre of Rome bus 80 express line take you in Piazza Venezia and 38 take you at the main Station. We enjoyed our stay at la Pergola hotel and we would definitely go back there

My daughter spent several days at the Hotel La Pergola as part of a school trip. She had a very bad experience at this hotel:
1. My daughter was advised to leave valuables with the receptionist, so she left the Bose headset that I had lend her with them. When she wanted to pick it up the headset had disappeared and no one claimed responsibility. I tried to contact them but they nevery replied.
2. There was blood in side my daughter's hotel room and one of the towels was bloody; the hotel refused to change it. As a result two girls had to share one towel.
My advise, don't stay there!

45 minutes bus from Termini, too far away for any place of interest. the breakfast made me sick for half day. can hear next room talking. the "shuttle service" hotel provided is only a carpool which charged much more than airport taxi. and he charged the tips himself. driving almost 200 km/hr without seat belt on. Crazy~~ but, customer service is ok. You get what you pay for.

This hotel is about a 12 euro cab ride from down town or an hour by bus during rush hour. Very functional atmosphere, accustomed to groups. Internet available in the lobby, hours are limited and end at 10:30 p.m. On check in concierge was clear about noise, breakfast hours, etc. Rooms were small, beds pretty hard and small. Bathroom functional and clean. Hairdryer in bathroom. Breakfast fresh, but rather plain, bread, buns, danishes, butter, jam, juice, coffee. Staff in the breakfast room rarely even gave anyone a second look, just went about their work and talked to each other. Grocery store and selection of cheap to expensive restaurants nearby. Grocery store was a neat adventure to see all of the different products, including pastas, oils, vinegars, wines, fruits, etc. Bakery and coffee shop up the street tot he right that came alive in the evening with locals. This hotel has a lovely little garden sheltered from the busy main street. When I checked on-line, I though it had a pool, but I couldn't find one. In any case, clean hote, friendly desk staff, okay breakfast. Nice enough spot and fairly quiet at night in spite of being on the main street.
