We went to Rome for a weekend break so our time was very limited to take in all of the sights. Unfortunately due to the location of the hotel we spent most of our time on public transport making the epic journey back and forward to hotel. One city centre taxi driver even refused to take us out there because of the distance (11kms)! We could have forgiven this if the hotel itself had been a little special but although the communal areas, reception etc. were nice, the room wasn't great. It was quite spacious but taking into account we had to share it with half the local ant population, that didn't really compensate... the fittings were a bit dodgy, for example the towel rail fell off when we put a towel on it, the shelves were on a slope so if you put something on them, it fell off, and there were big ugly black damp patches of mould on the bathroom walls and ceiling. As for the location, it wasn't near anything except for a gypsy encampment, loads of graffiti and, quite possibly, Greece. Definitely not Rome. We can laugh about it now but not enough to ever want to go back.
