My wife and myself, along with four other couples stayed here for a friends birthday celebrations. So we didn't choose the hotel. But we are glad our friend did.
Just three or four minutes walk from the Colisseum up a quiet side street, it's a very modern looking building in an historic city.
The reception / bar area is very clean and tidy in both appearance and design. Although the bar appears to close not long after midnight. But the Irish Bar just down the road certainly doesn't!!
Our room (212) was directly opposite the lift doors. But not once did we hear anybody making any noise. Or even the lift doors opening.
The room was a good size, and featured the most comfortable bed I have ever had in a hotel. If I was to give a bad mark. Then it would be for the lack English speaking channels on the TV. Just CNN and Sky News. I'm not sure if the Porno's were in English, or just contained grunts and groans.
A decent sized bathroom had a sower over the bath, a toilet, and a decent are with wash basin and mirrors.
Breakfast is taken on the top floor (the fourth). From where you can actually see the top levels of the Colliseum. When we were there it was very busy around 9am, and this menat some folks had to wait for a table to become available. But the food was very good and varied.
There is a terrace area outside of the breakfast room. On a warm summers evening this would be a lovely spot for a drink or two after a tiring day in one of the worlds great cities.
Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the street at the front of the hotel. You will not see the Colisseum. But the...
