We spent the weekend here and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A short walk to the top of the Spanish Steps and the Metro.
The room was nice and clean - small - and the bathroom was very clean. The noise from the street was so loud we had to keep the windows closed - altho it was November, the room was very warm (and the heating/air in the room did not work). Our room was on the first floor and with the window open the smell of cigarette smoke was annoying -- the people from the restaurant next to the hotel would smoke under our window. There is no carpeting on the floors in the hall so we heard every footstep, voices, and doors opening and closing.
The breakfast was fine, altho we sat in other parlor as it was so crowded - I had to carry not only my food, but my hot coffee thru the lobby to the other breakfast parlor -- then had to get up and go back and get silverware (each table only had a tablecloth and a napkin), then had to get up and get salt/pepper. It should not be difficult to set a table with not only eating utensils but condiments!
The bar area was in fact the breakfast room, the man at the desk in the evening was rude -- he was not happy with my request to use the internet -- just a very unhappy fellow!
Again, not a four star hotel -- yes, a nice three star hotel.
