Location, location, location!
It's perfectly located hotel with 200 meters from Spanish Steps and c.a. 400 meters from Fontanna Di Trevi! It's also very close to all other attractions such as Piazza Venezia, not far away from Piazza Navona, also perfect for weekend shopping on Via del Corso and nearby Via dei Condotti (prada, gucci, bvlgari, etc.)
Very good and rich breakfast in hotel's ristorante located beautifully on the roof!
Rooms are clean, warm and so Italian. Great hotel!

I was in Rome during the 3rd week of December 2011. It was very near to the Spagna Metro station, and it is incredibly near to both the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The famous Via dei Condotti is just 2 blocks away. I was amazed with the perfect location of this hotel.

The staff were very nice to us throughout our stay. The concierge was helpful in answering our questions and providing suggestions. If you have a laptop (or a smartphone with wifi), you can use the wifi-network for 5 Euros for the entire length of your stay. I enjoyed my morning interactions with the lady at the rooftop restaurant. She makes excellent cappuccino. Her coffee was so good that to the point it became something me & my fiancee look forward to every single morning!

I was impressed with the size of the room and the toilet. While the bed was like any average hotel, the shower is incredibly good. Must have been a recent installment. Overall I had a very pleasant stay. I couldn't have chosen a better hotel with such an excellent location. Highly recommended to all!

so basically this hotel is ok, nothing great or fancy but it is in a good location. the breakfast is ok. some of the staff are a bit rude and short, others are quite polite and helpful, depends who you get. would i stay here again, probably not but it was ok. its also quite expensive for what it is which is probably why i wouldnt stay here again. the elevator is scary. not very clean and it needs to be updated, especially the rooms. also, i dont know what they did with the bed frames and/or mattresses but ours tilted up at the foot end!?! weird! resulting in some uncomfortable sleeping. small tv, 3 channels.

I stayed at the Hotel Madrid in early October. There was an issue with my reservation but the staff handled it really well. Luciano is the name of the person who helped me. He was professional and service oriented and turned a bad experience into a good one. The ladies in the breakfast room are very nice and helpful… the location is fantastic, I was very satisfied with the service and I will definitely come back.
